My BIOS is still identifying as a X800. I tried to change it around and got a corrupt BIOS according to Rabit. What can I do differently to change it, or could anyone else try?
I have seen X800XL's out there with infineon memory, so I know that it is possible. This might or might not be the fix for it.

As I've mentioned in my previous posts about the last digit of the CONFIG_ROM_FUSES value, if it is a zero and you still haven't unlocked any pipelines, you can't unlock them that way. The zero at the end means no pipelines are locked in the bios. The meaning of the last digit is as follows:lodoss118 said:hi iam having problem enabling 16 pipes on my connect3d x850 pro 256mb agp it appears i have no laser cut and also i thinking have the samsung mem also it is a vivo edition
here r my rom fuses note its alreayd flashed to a xt pe bios but it is still sying 12 pipes in ati tool i tried both flashrom and atiflash and tried the empty bios first etc

The zero at the end means no pipelines are locked in the bios. The meaning of the last digit is as follows:
0 = no pipeline quads are locked in the bios (16 pipelines)
1 = 1 pipeline quad is locked in the bios (12 pipelines)
2 = 2 pipeline quads are locked in the bios (8 pipelines)
3 = 3 pipeline quads are locked in the bios (4 pipelines)
The CONFIG_ROM_FUSES value is in the bios, and I've tested all 4 of these values on my card and confirmed them to be correct.
W1zzard, could you please add this info to the first post in this thread?

Its a R481 Core and 12 pipes, the "CONFIG_ROM_FUSES " is "0x861" this ends up in a 1 if I have read correctly this means there is one quad of pipes deaktivated in the bios...
I though the 2.0ns X850Pro VIVO were unmodable (laser cut) does this mean they are just also disabled in the BIOS or that they are just disabled in the bios and can beunlocked ?
