X800 fuses data for unlocking

I just tried flashing to that bios, flash went perfectly - no errors. When I rebooted, I cam up w/ nothing but a black screen. It still booted into windows (i heard the little song), but I had no picture on my screen . I had to re-flash to my backed up original bios, and now everyting is back to normal.

Looks like it's back to the ole' drawing board for BigSexy.

BTW, Congrats on the 16 pipes, man...

i have a asus x800 gto, with ati tool i can overclock the core from 400 to 445(after that i get artifacts) but the mem is clocked at 490.. at 494-498 i get artifacts.. the temp are stable at 50C for both gpu and mem. If i flash the bios to a x850 or something else can i rise the clocks higher??? 10x i'm a noob at oc.
PS: i saw an article about the c3d x800gto clocked from 400/980 to 550/1100 or 570/1140. How is that possible on that card and not on mine. Are they using something besides ati tool, another cooling sistem???. 10x

It seems that your card has R430 core. 445 MHz is a very good overclock for R430 and you will not increase the frequency any more without Vmod and better cooling.
The cards you mentioned clocked to 550 are with R480 core, which is much more overclockable than R430.

well, i just tried the same thing, only to get failure. used the bios that you had posted, and the latest atiflash, and was met with artifacts out the wazoo. thankfully i was still able to see the command prompt and get flashed back to my original bios. guess it just wasnt meant to be

BigSexy and Bronze ....are you using the R430 core? I will pull the sink of tonight and try to flash to see if I have any luck.

everything ive seen so far is pointing me right to an R430. only way to find out is to pull the heatsink. might have a go at that this weekend.

maybe its cus of the memory? try one with 2.0 unless you are sure you have the same memory speed as me (1.6)

all u have to do is unscrew the heatsink. but i am too lazy to. plus i dont want to move whatever compound/paste they've put on it cus i dont have extra.

you have to use the PCI-E BIOS with these cards because theyre using the PCI-E core and the bridge chip. using an AGP bios would just make things that much worse.

Alright, so I downloaded the sapphire x800 xl PCI-e bios and flashed it.
Same beautiful black screen.

Gabkicks have u unlocked a sapphire x800gto or x800gto2? I thought only gto2 and early connect3d x800gto were unlockable.

alright....so instead of trying an X800XL bios again, i used the BIOS that was originally modified for me, which wouldnt flash with flashrom, and it flashed perfectly using atiflash. now running all 16 pipes. my advice: just have your original bios modified, using a bios meant for an X800XL could work, but it seems that having your original bios modded is just gonna be a lot safer.

I also used my original bios which was modded by Dolf....Flashed with ATIFLASH (atiflash -f -p 0 new.bin) and now 16 pipes enabled!!!!

Here are my new benches

Standard Clocks of 400/490 16 pipes enabled

1. 3dMark05 4946 (was 4400)
2. 3dMark 03 9552 (was 8461)
3. Aquamark 52053 (was 49,917)

O/C 444/573 16 pipes enabled

1. 3dMark05 5400
2. 3dMark 03 10300
3. Aquamark 52389

I want to thank all those who contributed to unlocking this card.....now to change out the cooler and see how far it can go.

u score higher than me. in 3dMark2005 i am only getting around 5000 .

my motherboard sux... it wont let me oc my cpu. and my other motherboad which will is too big for the current case and i dont feel like moving everything into a bigger case just yet...more like a tower i have laying around from the early 90's


i havent tried to oc my card more yet.. i'll see if i can get into the 570's

Yes ATI tool confirms it haven't re checked for max speeds with ATI tool....will wait for more cooling to push the limits

I have some questions because my intention is to change my oooold X800XT with MSI X850PRO VIVO AGP (flashed to XT or XT PE of course)

After flashing to 16 pipes:

1. Is it really with XT cooler (dual slot)?
2. Max. overclock for the core?
3. Max. overclock for the memory?

If it can handle XT PE speeds just flash it with XT PE BIOS and try the overclockability again.

I will highly appreciate your information .

hey dolph someone new to the forum is interested in getting an x850 xt agp for $250 US or less any ideas where you can get one at that price cause i have never seen them go for less than $300. Also are people still having success at unlocking the x850 pro agp to xt pe specs?

OK, based on those fuses, I think it should be an R480 chip. You could probably go ahead and try the R480 modded bios if you want to.

OK, I've modded your bios and attached it to this message. BTW, your card and the other ones of that card that people have recently posted bioses for are all the same bios.
