X800 fuses data for unlocking

Hi guys, I see that you managed to unlock few x800 gto AGP to 16 pipes..
I own a shappire x800 gto fireblade PCE (r480)... any chances to unlock the extra pipes with a modified bios even on my card?

I just finished testing of my Sapphire X800GTO² card, this time cooled with R507 compressor.

The score is way too low since the 3DMark05 doesn´t like too much of Intel P4 cpus. I´m also running with Windows 2003 Server OS, so with Dothan or Athlon 64 cpu and Windows XP the score would be few hundred points bigger.

Anyways I achieved 106% overclock for GPU with Vapochill LS cooling.
I was able to run all tests through at 816MHz GPU speed with 1.78V vgpu voltage.

Unfortunately this is the "production" version of the card, so the highest available VDD & VDDQ voltage is 2.25V. With tight ("Eshbach") timings the memory maxed out at 645MHz.

WOW, that's incredible! :o

Hey mates,

I have a Connected X850Pro (AGP, 1.6ns, R481), with lasercut and i cant unlock the four remaining pipes.
Its possible to bypass the Lasercut? and How?

help with my powercolor x800 GTO(agp)

hey i just got my powercolor x800 GTO vivo (AGP) and i wonder if i can unlock the last four pipelines the core is an r420 i have not removed the heatsink and checked but that is what ATI TOOL says. Can i do the same thing like the have done with a x800pro vivo http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overclocking/vidcard/100 because we have the same chip and everything.

i also have the following readings in ATI TOOL

CONFIG_DIE_FUSES 0xEFF3BFFF
CONFIG_SUBSTRATE_FUSES 0xFFFFFF1E
CONFIG_ROM_FUSES 0x20
GB_PIPE_SELECT 0x12B84

I am thankfull for any help at all :)

Wondering if my card is modable, doubting it, but still curious.

Also, that is one mental o/c Stilt. Very nice :D

On the BIOS level you are already with 16 pipes. Taking in consideration that it is R420 and the fuse results the only chance to have 16 pipes is to take off the cooler and to see what is the situation with the bridges. I presume that your core has laser cut on the left bridge. You should connect it (but don't forget to clean with something sharp the contect dots) with conductive paint/glue or to solder. After that check the fuses again and the number of the active pipes.

If after you still have 12 pipes overclock it and live with that :) .

Hi, I own a X800 gto fireblade PCI-E (r480), here are my fuses :

CONFIG_DIE_FUSES 0xFFFFBFFF
CONFIG_SUBSTRATE_FUSES 0xFFFFFF9E
CONFIG_ROM_FUSES 0x261
GB_PIPE_SELECT 0x12B84

Any chances a modified bios or stuff like that would unlock my card to 16 pipes?

okay i have checked under the cooler and there is a laser cut there but its so tiny you could not see it with your own eye. Could u plz help me with some tips or methods to connect it because i would not like to ruin my new card

by the way what happens if the pipes dont work like they should if they are broken or something like that?

Hi all, I've been reading this thread and searching the internet for a couple of houres now. I think I may unlock some pipelines. But I need some help...

First, my specs. I'm in possesion of two Sapphire X800GT 128 Mb DDR1 cards. I examined the cores and wrote down the info. I've discovered that one has a X800SE core in stead of a X800GT core. I also discovered that this X800SE core becomes 25-30 Degrees Celcius hotter than the X800GT version. I don't exactly know why, maybe the cooler is improperly mounted or the temp. sensor is unstable. They run fine for now.

Info on the cores:
Code:
Card 1 (GT):
Z15RBMAGA12F
663907.1
0531aa

Card 2 (SE):
Z15RBMAGA12F
6F22414.9
0441aa

ATI Tool reports the following:
2.jpg

Now I have two questions:
1. Are both cards fit to be mod to 12p? If so, is it necessary to flash it into a 12p bios?
2. Can I connect the right laser cut by using some Arctic Silver Paste?

Thanks In Advance.:)

Both of your cards have two pipequads disabled permanently.
You can´t connect the lasercutted bridges with AS5 thermal paste. AS5 is not conductive enough, so you must use solder or conductive paint to reconnect the bridges. In your case reconnecting the lasercut will not do any difference.

Ok thanks for your reply. Are you saying that I cannot unlock these cards ever? Because then I can immediately wipe out my 'dream' ;)

Also, how do you see this. I'm curious...

Unfortunately.

This is how it works

Hi

Can anyone explain this to me?

I bought a GTO2 a was going to flash the bios to get the 16 pipelines.

In the shift+ settings section on Atitool It says

Chip Type R430
Mem size 256MB
Bus Width 256 bit
Active Pipelines 16

Haven't done anything to the card, it's as it is from the box.
I thought the GTO2 cards were R480 chips.

Anyone know whats going on????

This question is being asked too much, I think the original artical should be updated. GTO2 are now coming with 16 pipelines active out of the box and the r430 is just what is reported by the bios and doesnt mean much since if u remove the cooler and check, there will be an r480 instead.

can i still squeeze out some more juices with my gecube x800xl? say at xt speeds???...

i find so very little room for overclocking it... after a more or less 10mhz OC for gpu and about 20mhz for the mem, artifacts shows up... :(
