X800 fuses data for unlocking

But in that thread I'd read that somebody unlocked x800GTO, which was based on r430.:confused:

May be it's on back side of the core?

Yes if this somebody has R430 with the following fuses it is possible:

CONFIG_DIE_FUSES 0xFFFFFFFF
CONFIG_SUBSTRATE_FUSES 0xFFFFFF9F
CONFIG_ROM_FUSES 0x21 (0x22)

The only thing which is necessary is to flash in order to change CONFIG_ROM_FUSES 0x21 (0x22) to 0x20.
 
For your information:

Dolf and others .....the new Sapphire X800 GTO with 256 Meg AGP has Ifenion (spelling) ram installed and a r430 (verified when changing out the cooler). This card had F's in all spots to unlock 16 pipes. So add it to the list of unlockables :toast:
 
Hey Dolf and others ...I installed the ATI Silencer 5 Rev 2 on my X800 and ran ATI Tool to try and O/C the GPU further than the previous 444.....It was able to push out 447 and no more is that about all I can get out of the 430 core or do need to set the cooler to 100% then run ATI tools Max GPU tool.:confused:

basically the R430 core sucks for overclocking due to the crappy manufacture process they used with the r430. I'm gonna try my atisilencer 5r2 soon, so we'll see what happens.

I also tried volt modding mine, and i could only squeeze out another 5mhz with the voltage up at some crazy voltage!

I have a Sapphire x800GTO pci-e, the normal version, I have read the post almost completly but I'm confused. From what I've understood if the card has the r480 core it can be unlcoked isn't it? Atitool says my core is an r480, i haven't tried to flash it because i can't find a specific version of the bios for my car, the one I've found is for GTO2 and I think that is not valid for my card.

This is what atitool says.

I postet a few times here about my asus x800 gto. I'm wondering wht i'm getting artefacts at stock speeds :(.. 400 core.. 980 mems. With atitool after maximum 1 min i'm getting artefacts.. in cs source i'm loosing textures.. in fear the shadows are f..cked up really bad. I think the mems are clocked too high.. at 960 it runs smooth. I have no overheating problems.. the temp doesn't go higher than 54-55.. so i sent it away.. I'm asking if anybody else had simillar problems. I have attached some pics.thx

It seems memory issue. I have X800XT flashed to XT PE but with the memory bandwidth optimisation in Catalyst 5.6 and later I start to see similar artifacts. They disappear at 555MHz on the memory but ATITool shows 570MHz without problems :confused: .
I start to play with the memory timings (use ATI Tray Tools for timings changes and for artifact scan use ATITool).

In my case changing TRP parameter from 5 to 7 solves all artifact problems and increase the max. memory overclock to 594MHz. I have used RaBit to create custom BIOS with changed timing and flash my card with that. I have also tried values 6 and 8 but for me 7 was the most stable.
If you still have problems (after the memory timings "optimisation") just create your own custom BIOS with memory speed suitable for your card and flash it with it.
 
i sent it back in warranty... i just ordered a gigabyte 7800gt... i had enough with that card. since it's too much trouble to order a saphire x800 ore something like that .. 20 pipes and 7 vertex from the start sounds better. probably i won't be able to unlock the remaining 4 pipes and 1 vertex because they are locked in hardware mode ore something like that.riva tuner shows that the pipes are disabled. it's about 100$ more expensive but i think it's worthed. 10x again
 
I just successfully unlocked all 16 pipelines on my Sapphire X800 GTO with 256MB AGP 2.0ns DDR3.:toast:

I bought it in the 2nd week of january 2006 at the german Amazon for 209 euros incl. shipping. It has the R430 core showed in ATITool and positively checked it by removing the fan.I flashed it with the X800 XL 2.0 bios.

I dont have the fuses data anymore but i still have the original BIOS. If someone wants to take a look at it please notify me.

hi guys...can u tell me if i can unlock my sapphire x800gto from 12 to 16 pipes? Its a R430 chip and I have a pic attached...thanks

becuase i do a new try an buying me a PCIe Card:

Wich Crad schould i buy - where is the greatest chance to get a modable X800GT(O) PCIe???
Or should i buy another Cardgeneration? I habe abot 170€ to buy a new card.

Ok, let's continue the fuses data:
Sapphire X800 GTO AGP (Samsung 1,6ns RAM :D )
It's the R430 Chip plus the PCIe to AGP bridge.

CONFIG_DIE_FUSES............: 0xFFFFFFFF
CONFIG_SUBSTRATE_FUSES: 0xFFFFFF9F
CONFIG_ROM_FUSES..........: 0xA61

So one set of 4 pipelines disabled by the BIOS.
 
it's not much better than your old x800gt card!
in 3dmark05: +12% faster
FEAR: +18%
AOE3: +22%
FarCry: +12%

i would recommend to buy a X850Pro or XT because the card producers don't produce AGP cards any more. (The x850xt is approximately 60 or 70% faster than your X800GT)

I tried the bootable cd image and this is what happened.
*the flash said it was sucessfull upgrading to 16.
*rebooted and XP found a new card... ( Radeon X800 / X850 Series ) ?
*still only 12 :wtf:

I guess I need to download the original bios since idiot me forgot to save mine 1st.. hehe

I guess mine won't go to 16 from this info below ?

I have "E"'s NOT "F"'s
R480 core
( but the program "RaBiT" says it's the R423 core ) ?

Tried to flash this to 16 pipes with atiflash.exe -p -f -newbios 0 newbios.bin and it changed the 61 to 60 at 00000070 but still shows 12 pipes. ATI is getting as bad as INTEL in countering O/C :banghead:
 
Hy,
i just orderd a GeCube Radeon X850 Pro, 256MB GDDR3, DVI, ViVo, PCIe and will post the results here in hope it will open 16
