The Atari VCS 800 GPU will be a gaming console graphics solution by AMD, that is expected to launch in 2020. Built on the 14 nm process, and based on the Banded Kestrel graphics processor, the device supports DirectX 12. The Banded Kestrel graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 210 mm² and 4,940 million transistors. It features 192 shading units, 12 texture mapping units, and 4 ROPs. AMD includes 8 GB DDR4 memory, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 300 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1201 MHz, memory is running at 1200 MHz.
Its power draw is rated at 15 W maximum. The console's dimensions are 295 mm x 150 mm x 48 mm, and it features a igp cooling solution.
