The Jetson TX1 was a mobile graphics chip by NVIDIA, launched on January 4th, 2015. Built on the 20 nm process, and based on the GM20B graphics processor, in its TM670D-A1 variant, the chip supports DirectX 12. This ensures that all modern games will run on Jetson TX1. The GM20B graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 118 mm² and 2,000 million transistors. It features 256 shading units, 16 texture mapping units, and 16 ROPs. NVIDIA has paired 4 GB LPDDR4 memory with the Jetson TX1, which are connected using a 64-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 998 MHz, memory is running at 600 MHz.
Its power draw is rated at 6 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device. Jetson TX1 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 2.0 x4 interface.
