The units are underpinned by FSP's well known Aurum platform, a group regulated design that is rather average in all regards except efficiency, being an 80 Plus Gold certified product. Cooler Master discarded FSP's multi-rail setup and opted for single rail designs with the Silent Pro Gold 450 W and 550 W, the two units also make exclusive use of Japanese capacitors. MSRP for these new Silent Pro Gold PSUs is set at €60 for the 450 W version and €70 for its 550 W sibling.

Despite its $900-ish retail presence, AMD's 5 GHz eight-core processor, the FX-9590, was designed to be an OEM part, where OEMs could deploy the right motherboard and cooling solution for the 220W TDP chip. One of the first OEMs to [dare to] come out with one such contraption is Japan's Mouse Computer. The company's G-Tune Masterpiece a1500BA1 desktop includes an AMD FX-9590 processor, and Radeon HD 8990 (re-branded HD 7990 "Malta") graphics card as standard equipment.

The Masterpiece a1500BA1 uses a Cooler Master Seidon 120XL to tame the 220W AMD FX-9590, and an unannounced MSI 990FXA-GD80 V2 motherboard to seat it. Other components include Kingston HyperX DDR3-1866 MHz 16 GB dual-channel memory, Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB SSD, an additional 3 TB HDD, a Blu-ray writer, and an unknown 1200W 80 Plus Gold-certified PSU. Windows 8 64-bit comes pre-installed. Based on the 32 nm "Vishera" silicon, AMD FX-9590 is an eight-core processor in the AM3+ package, with 4.80 GHz nominal and 5.00 GHz TurboCore frequency. The 5.00 GHz Turbo state spools up for all eight cores. Backed by a 1-year warranty (besides individual component warranties), the Masterpiece a1500BA1 is priced at a staggering 449,800 JPY (US $4,500).

Cooler Master is proud to announce the new G-Series Power Supplies for ATX-computer systems. This series consists of three models: 500W (G500), 600W (G600) and 700W (G700). The G-series are high efficient because of active PFC and are 80 Plus Bronze certified. These energy-transformers are able to handle big graphic cards and the latest processors on the market (Haswell), because of the single 12V rail topology with high DC out support up to 55A/660W (G700).

The intelligent speed control of the 120mm fan prevents noise during workload and also prevents overheating of the PSU. Cooler Master unveiled its Silencio 352 micro-ATX case for gaming PC builds. Its design focuses on minimizing noise, with sound absorbing material lining most of its panels, including the piano black door that covers its front. Measuring 200 x 378 x 453 mm (WxHxD), and dry-weighing about 4.7 kg, the case is made of SECC steel and an unknown "polymer." Effort is made to make sure the drive cages don't get in the way of long graphics cards. The case can handle graphics cards as long as 35 cm, so a Radeon HD 7990 should have no problem fitting in. You get one 5.25-inch drive bay, three 3.5-inch bays, and a total of four 2.5-inch bays. Cooling system includes two 120 mm front intakes, a top 120 mm exhaust, and a 120 mm rear exhaust. The case was shown housing a micro-ATX Core i7 Sandy Bridge-E build, complete with a liquid CPU cooler, a longer than usual modular PSU, a GeForce GTX 670 graphics card, and a couple of 2.5-inch SSDs, all without looking stuffy.

Cooler Master showed off its Hyper 103 compact tower-type CPU cooler at Computex. Pictured below, the cooler is ideal for single-fan configurations, and features a stack of trapezoid aluminum fins, to which heat is transferred by three 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes. This stack is ventilated by a custom-design 92 mm PWM-controllable fan. The fan retention lets you swap out the included fan with any other standard 92 mm one. The stock fan spins at 800 - 2,200 RPM, pushing up to 43.1 CFM of air, with up to 30 dBA noise. The cooler weighs about 580 g (500 g heatsink with 80 g fan). It measures 108 x 89.5 x 138.5 mm. All modern CPU socket types are supported, including LGA2011, LGA115x, LGA1366, AM3+/AM3, and FM2/FM1.

Cooler Master unveiled the second generation of its GX line of mainstream PSUs for gaming PC builds. These extremely well 'packaged' PSUs come in mid-range capacities under 850W, offer all the connectivity most gaming PCs need, at usually good prices. Pictured below is a new 700W model, which is compliant with the latest ATX specifications, supports Core "Haswell" low-power C-states, and offers essential features such as APFC, protection from over/under voltage, overload, overpower (output), and short-circuit. It offers all the cabling (fixed) you need for a gaming PC with up to two graphics cards; including four 6+2 pin PCIe, nine SATA, three Molex, apart from 24-pin ATX and 4+4-pin EPS. GX series PSUs lack fancy 80 Plus certifications, but Cooler Master claims this unit should offer 85 percent at typical loads. Cooler Master addressed the issue of a generally edgy fan-speed curve with its mainstream PSUs, by deploying a large 135 mm Yate Loon fan to keep the unit cool.

As with many new product launches of this scale, there has been a bit of misinformation spread regarding the recently launched line of 4th Generation Intel processors codenamed Haswell. Cooler Master, an industry leading PC component manufacturer today announces the N series, a brand new series of compact mainstream cases. The N series brings liquid cooling support up to 240mm radiators and improved air cooling performance wrapped in subtle and simplistic designs.

N series cases were designed with cooling performance in mind, especially liquid cooling. The full mesh front panels and a large amount of vents all over let air stream through the case with ease. The N300 supports up to 8 fans, including a 120mm vent on the all important side panel to keep high-end VGAs fed with fresh air, and support for two 120mm fans or one 240mm radiator on top of the case. The N500 supports up to 9 fans, adding a second 120mm slot to the side panel, and extends to top mounted vents to dual 140mm vents, including support for 240mm radiators.

Asetek, which manufactures closed-loop liquid cooling solutions that are re-branded by several companies, filed a patent-infringement lawsuit against Cooler Master alleging infringement of multiple patents held by Asetek. Cooler Master's recently launched Seidon line of closed-loop liquid CPU coolers are points of contention for Asetek, as it claims the products infringe upon patent numbers 8,240,362 and 8,245,764, held by the company.

Seidon 120M and 240M may have been launched late January 2013, but had been pictured much earlier, in September. Ahead of its launch, Asetek claims it had contacted Cooler Master with a cease-and-desist order, but it claims the latter didn't respond satisfactorily, going ahead with the launch. The case (Civil Action No. 3:13-cv-00457-JSC) will now be heard by a US Court. Cooler Master's defense could stress on the point the essential design of a CPU liquid cooler hasn't changed for decades. Other liquid cooling makers, which aren't particularly as big as Asetek (which sells liquid cooling solutions to even the server and defense industries), will be closely following the case.

Cooler Master showed off a trio of air-cooling solutions at CeBIT, which includes the TPC 612 and V8 GTS CPU coolers, and JetFlo 120 case fans. The TPC 612 is a compacted version of the TPC 812. It retains the design concept of its older sibling, that of a heatpipe-fed aluminum fin stack that also uses a vapor-chamber tube for more efficient heat transfer; while using just four heat pipes, and a more compact vapor-chamber tube. Measuring 145 x 97 x 161.6 mm (WxDxH, including the fan), it weighs about 640 g. It uses a single 120 mm PWM fan that spins in the range of 600 to 2,000 RPM, pushing 24.9 to an impressive 82.9 CFM of air. The TPC 612 is compatible with all modern CPU socket types.

Moving on, the V8 GTS is Cooler Master's latest monstrosity, one that is designed to take on pre-assembled closed-loop liquid CPU coolers. It uses a triple independent aluminum fin stack design, which is ventilated by a pair of 140 mm fans. An unknown (we're guessing six) number of 6 mm-thick nickel plated copper heat pipes convey heat from the base through the three fin stacks. Measuring a whopping 154 x 149 x 160 mm, it weighs 1,140 g. Each of its two 140 mm fans uses a 4-pin PWM connection, spins at 600 to 1,600 RPM, pushing 28 to 82 CFM of air. Lastly, Cooler Master showed off its JetFlo 120, a neat little 120 mm spinner featuring PWM, 800 to 2,000 RPM speed range, and up to 85 CFM air-flow.

Cooler Master showed off a new line of performance-segment PSUs under its V-series. Consisting of three models, the V700 (700W), V850 (850W) and V1000 (1000W), the three boast of 80 Plus Gold efficiency rating (90 percent efficiency at 50 percent load, 87 percent efficiency at 100 percent load).

The three feature fully modular cabling (including 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS); four 6+2 pin PCIe connectors on the V700, and six on the V850 and V1000; and all modern protection features. It's reported that the three are originally manufactured by Seasonic. Pricing and availability are under the wraps.

Cooler Master's gaming hardware brand CM Storm announced the Sirius S 5.1-channel gaming headset, a variant of the Sirius, which dates back to June 2011. While the original Sirius ships with a 5.1-channel USB sound card, and is priced around 120€, the new Sirius S maintains the headset's every component, except the USB sound card is tossed out for a simpler volume control pod, and 3.5 mm jacks (three lines-out and one mic-in), so you could take advantage of your own sound card. It's also likely that since sound cards with non-standard DSPs are highly prone to driver-related issues, and need constant maintenance from the manufacturers' side, Cooler Master is finding a smarter way out. The Sirius S is expected to be significantly cheaper than the original, when it reaches stores some time in February.

The CM Storm Scout 2 was a feast for every power user that has dozens of fans already at home and thus did not want to pay too much for a case which has fans he or she does not need. Now Cooler Master also offers a solution for the users that do not have an unlimited supply of fans, but do want to enjoy a full features case with steel reinforced handles, removable HDD cages, slide out dust filter in the bottom and a sliding cover to protect the 2 USB 3.0 ports on the IO panel. The CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced features a total of three 120 mm fans of which the two front fans are enriched by red LED lights.

Cooler Master launched the Centurion 6 ATX mid-tower case. Available in all-black "Midnight Black" (RC-610-KKN1) and with a dash of silver (RC-610-SKN1), the Centurion 6 is slightly narrower, yet taller and longer than its predecessor, the Centurion 5, measuring 200 x 464.5 x 481 mm (WxHxD). Made mostly of SECC steel, ABS plastic, with a dash of aluminum (its front-panel mesh), it weighs about 5.9 kg.

The storage area of the Centurion 6 includes three 5.25" bays, and seven 3.5" bays, from which two can be converted into 2.5" ones. The seven 3.5" bays are split into two cages, with four and three bays. The smaller, upper 3-bay cage is detachable, making room for graphics cards as long as 405 mm. Its front panel includes two USB 3.0 ports (standard header), in addition to two USB 2.0/1.1 ports and HD audio jacks.
