11 bit studios Announces June 13 Launch Date for "The Alters" - Coming to PC & Modern Consoles

What if survival meant facing the versions of yourself you never became? The version of you who chose family over going to college? The version of you who chased down your high school sweetheart and made her your wife or the version of you who lost her? In The Alters, the upcoming sci-fi game from 11 bit studios (makers of This War of Mine and Frostpunk), where survival has never been so personal, the path to salvation begins with a question as old as humanity: What if I had chosen differently? Revealed today as part of the 2025 Triple-I Initiative, 11 bit studios announced that The Alters will launch on June 13, 2025, arriving on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and day one on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

Each Jan comes with unique skills, personalities, and memories tied to a different life choice. But they also come with conflict, doubt, and emotional baggage. Managing the mission means managing yourself—literally. Players must maintain a mobile base, make time-critical decisions, build relationships with their Alters, and confront the consequences of their own past lives.

4A Games Celebrates Metro Franchise's 15th Anniversary, Hints at Direction of Next Title

Hello everyone, we shared with you—earlier this month—that we wanted to tell you more about the status of our team and our future; so what better opportunity to do so as a celebration of Metro's 15th anniversary. In honor of the incredible 15 years of Metro, we've created a video to celebrate our journey throughout the tunnels of the metro system, made possible by our devoted community—always supporting us along the way. This is our thanks to you, the players.

Metro turns 15
The legacy and success of Metro over the past decade and a half is something we at 4A Games are incredibly proud of. It actually started 20 years ago when 4A Games was founded, and inspired by Dmitry Glukhovsky's then online novel, we began to work on our inaugural title of the same name, Metro 2033. Our partnership has continued, and he is working with us on our next Metro title, but more on that later. Many of the development team here at 4A Games have seen Metro evolve over the past 15 years. It is amazing to see the advancement from the pages of a novel, into a fully-realized game, through ever-improving sequels, and now into a global franchise with millions of players. We have loved being able to grow and foster an incredible community which has gone from strength to strength along with us. What we are achieving now was a far distant dream all those many years ago, and we are lucky to have so many dedicated, talented developers who are as passionate about the series as you, the players.

Elda Entertainment is co-publishing the game alongside Overseer Games.

With deep production chains, grand-scale city building, and global conquest at its core, Kaiserpunk blurs the lines between city management and global warfare.

Infineon Resolves 15-Year Qimonda Dispute with €800M Settlement

After nearly 15 years of legal disputes, Infineon Technologies and Qimonda's insolvency administrator have reached a final settlement, with Infineon agreeing to pay €800 million. The conflict centered on the valuation of memory business assets that Infineon spun off in 2006 to create Qimonda, once a global leader in memory chip manufacturing with 13,500 employees worldwide.

Qimonda's journey was short-lived. It debuted on the New York Stock Exchange in August 2006 but filed for insolvency by January 2009. Legal proceedings initiated in 2010 focused on claims that Qimonda's balance sheet was underfunded during the spin-off. The insolvency administrator alleged that the transferred memory business was undervalued, leading to a lawsuit for reimbursement of the share value discrepancy.

Intel's Largest Ever Chip Fab Investment will be a $25 Billion Facility in Israel

Intel has secured a $3.2 billion grant from the Israeli government for constructing a new $25 billion chip fabrication facility in southern Israel. This represents the company's largest-ever investment in a manufacturing facility. Intel's expansion aims to strengthen global semiconductor supply chains and reduce reliance on singular geographies like Taiwan. The new Fab 38 plant will be built alongside Intel's existing Fab 28 facility in Kiryat Gat. Construction has already begun, with operations slated to start in 2028 and serve until 2035. Intel expects to create thousands of local jobs as well. The company will receive a reduced 7.5% corporate tax rate and has committed to $16.6 billion in local procurement. The grant comes amid Israel's ongoing conflict with Palestinian militant group Hamas.

However, Intel's decades-long presence and investments in the country showcase economic priorities persevering. Its key processor technology was and is being designed in Israel labs. The Kiryat Gat expansion aligns with Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger's strategy of manufacturing diversification through mega-investments across the US, Europe, and Israel. It follows the company's record $20 billion fab project in Ohio. With significant government subsidies at each site, Intel aims to restore market dominance against rivals like AMD and Nvidia through scale of manufacturing. The new Israeli fab will complement Intel's lineup of leading-edge technologies and help maintain Israel's reputation as a global semiconductor hub.

Sherlock Holmes The Awakened Remake Out Now

Detectives, we have arrived! After much anticipation, Sherlock Holmes The Awakened has been released! Enjoy the Lovecraftian madness. We made this game during one heck of a time. We made it while our country is at war. We faced challenges such as constant power outages, irregular work schedules, air raids, evacuations, losing our homes, saying goodbyes to our loved ones (through immigration, or worse), and losing team members so that they could defend our country.

We worked from our homes, our office, and from underground bunkers or train stations. It was an enduring and unending nightmare. But with all this chaos around, working on The Awakened helped us maintain a little sense of normalcy. We truly gave it all - sweat, emotions, and spirit to the development of this game.
