From the CRYORIG website:

CRYORIG was officially founded in 2013, but took several years in the making. We began our journey right at the start of the first decade of the 2000's. During what was the most prosperous age of PC DIY and Overclocking. Members of our team have either worked directly or indirectly with brands such as Thermalright, Prolimatech, Phanteks and many more. We ourselves are overclockers and PC modding enthusiasts, with a passion and drive to strive for improvement. With direct knowledge of manufacturing and design as well as holding multiple patents under our collective belt, we decided to make a name for ourselves, and that name is CRYORIG. So what is CRYORIG exactly? CRYORIG is about making the coolest rig possible.

If you haven't heard of CRYORIG at this point, you have likely been living under a rock. Now a mainstay in the PC-cooling market, they have released an extensive lineup of air and liquid CPU coolers and fans. Having quickly made a name for themselves since starting up in 2013, they have rapidly expanded, becoming a relative favorite among enthusiasts the world over. It doesn't hurt that their desire to improve and a penchant for high quality have served them extremely well.

In today's review, I look at the CRYORIG R1 Ultimate. This is their largest air cooler on offer, and it utilizes a slightly different design to the R1 Universal, one of my personal favorites. Featuring dual 140 mm fans and large dual-cooling towers, it follows the design trend made famous by the Noctua NH-D14 years ago. CRYORIG has even gone so far as to add custom covers it calls "CUSTOMOD", which allows users to adapt the R1 series to their system's color scheme. Before digging into things, let's take a closer look at the specifications found below.
