The GeForce GTX 760M was a mobile graphics chip by NVIDIA, launched on May 30th, 2013. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the GK106S graphics processor, in its N14E-GL-A1 variant, the chip supports DirectX 12. Even though it supports DirectX 12, the feature level is only 11_0, which can be problematic with newer DirectX 12 titles. The GK106S graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 221 mm² and 2,540 million transistors. It features 768 shading units, 64 texture mapping units, and 16 ROPs. NVIDIA has paired 2,048 MB GDDR5 memory with the GeForce GTX 760M, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 628 MHz, which can be boosted up to 719 MHz, memory is running at 1002 MHz (4 Gbps effective).
Being a mxm module card, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is rated at 55 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device. GeForce GTX 760M is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 interface.
