NZXT Unveils Hue LED Controller

NZXT, a company built on realizing the dreams of gamers worldwide, is proud to announce Hue, an LED configurator that grants PC enthusiasts the power to completely customize chassis illumination. With three RGB controls, Hue enables users to adjust the color fade, pulsating light effects, and brightness levels of your internal LED sleeve. It also features a simple on/off switch in so you can quickly turn down the lights while watching a movie or heading to bed after a marathon gaming session. Installation is a breeze with Hue's stealthy mesh design that blends flawlessly into the façade of any front panel.

"Proper LED lighting can immensely affect the aesthetic appeal of your rig" said Johnny Hou, Founder and Product Manager at NZXT. "Now enthusiasts have complete control right at their fingertips with the ability to adjust color fade and add pulsating effects with instant gratification."
Hue is available for purchase now for $32.99. For more information visit this page.

I hate illuminated cases so I don't like this. I only find it distracting.

Uh, what? You can change the colors by adjusting each RGB knob. What more do you want? Psycho-Fuchsia?

I need this. So pm me, you know who you are ;)

Finally a way to get yellow lights. Been waiting soo long for this. I'm not diggin that it takes up a drive bay but I guess in this case its worth it. I love the light features and affects.

A neat color affect would be chaser mode and a slow chaser where the colors fade through the line. Like if you took a pic you'll see all typers of colors at once with a fade between them. The colors don't stay put though. They slide down then line as another color is right behind it.

yellow would mean that the RGB can be individually tweaked. SWEET!

de.das.dudethe RGB can be individually tweaked
pretty much. You fine tune the 3 dials to get the color you want. you push one of the buttons for the modes, brightness, blink/fade, power

Considering that there are Superflux LED kits out there, that give you single color strips of 6 LEDs with a molex connector for nearly 20 bucks, this is actually extremely inexpensive. There's 2meters (24 superflux leds) that are RGB controlled, plus a controller, for 33 bucks. Plus it has a SATA connector for power.

Actually, there's more colors then that. There's 24 LEDs included, but the color-combinations are just about limitless. Think of the RGB color-mixer in Photoshop. A mixture of the three colors, depending on hue/saturation can give you TONS of color options.

Yup, just set all three color knobs to the same level and you should get white.

EDIT: Thought you guys might be interested in this, since there's no other news out right now:

Hadn't noticed previously, but it looks as if there's two of the RGB LEDs in the mesh of the control unit to show what the light strip is currently doing.

^ What Random said. I'm just excited cos I can finally get the Deus EX: HR yellow/gold hue from LEDs. It's so hard to find that color....
