NVIDIA Rolls Out the GeForce 331.40 Beta Driver

NVIDIA has just made available a new graphics driver, the beta-tagged GeForce 331.40 which includes support for the GeForce 8, 9, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, and 700-series desktop GPUs and the ION desktop GPUs. This new build is claimed to deliver a performance boost (compared to the GeForce 327.23 drivers) for the GeForce 400/500/600/700 Series GPUs and implements Horizon Based Ambient Occlusion plus (HBAO+) for DirectX 9 and DirectX 11 applications.

The GeForce 331.40 Beta also offers support for OpenGL 4.4 and includes the following new/updated game profiles:

  • Battlefield 4 - Updated Surround Profile, Added SLI Profile

Installed without a hitch. Ran some benches and tried BF3 - no issues to report.

hope these fix crashing errors... the latest stable still caused my system to crash so im on older drivers, will try these out.

PCI-E Gen 3.0 native support is enabled for Geforce GTX Titan and Geforce GTX 780.

No hack required.

I didn't have to reapply the hack either..on Dual 4Gig 670's...

BF4 in 4 hours and 40 minutes there abouts..

Bah, I was wrong, my 2nd card still only drops to low power 3d clocks at idle... otherwise driver works great!
