AMD Energizes "Never Settle Forever"

AMD today announced a refresh of "Never Settle Forever", the popular game bundle program for AMD Radeon products. Starting today, the "Never Settle Forever" promotion will be available to a wider range of AMD Radeon graphics cards, spanning the R7 Series graphics to the ultra-enthusiast AMD Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card. For the first time ever, the "Never Settle Forever" program will be rolled out to AMD's entry-level graphics products: the AMD Radeon R7 250X, R7 250 and R7 240 GPUs.

AMD's "Never Settle Forever" is dedicated to letting gamers select from a strong line-up of in-demand games as a reward for choosing AMD Radeon graphics. Users will receive up to three choices of free games when they redeem their AMD Radeon Reward coupon. The actual number of available choices will vary by Rewards tier: Gold, Silver or Bronze.
"We're happy to introduce this next chapter for our highly successful 'Never Settle Forever' program, delivering on the promise we made a year ago with our Unified Gaming Strategy," said Matt Skynner, corporate vice president and general manager, Graphics Business Unit, AMD. "AMD's unrivaled graphics technology, combined with our ever-growing game developer partnerships, demonstrates that we are leading and shaping the gaming industry."

Square Enix's upcoming title, "Murdered: Soul Suspect", will be available in the Radeon Gold and Silver Rewards of "Never Settle Forever" for the first time. Optimized for the Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture, gamers can secure an early code for the game that may be redeemed when the title launches in June 2014.

"With 'Murdered: Soul Suspect', we're looking forward to continuing the tradition of collaboration between Square Enix and AMD," said Naoto Sugiyama, executive producer, "Murdered: Soul Suspect". "We're dedicated to bringing world-class experiences for PC gamers and look forward to the launch of our game in AMD's 'Never Settle Forever' program."

For the first time ever, AMD is also pleased to announce the inclusion of PC titles from independent game developers to the "Never Settle Forever" program as one of the redemption options. Bundled in sets as an "indie pack," gamers may choose one indie pack consisting of two indie titles as one of their game selection choices. The roster of titles includes:
  • "The Banner Saga", developed by Stoic Studio and published by Versus Evil
  • "Dyad", developed and published by ][, (Right Square Bracket Left Square Bracket)
  • "Guacamelee!" -- developed and published by Drinkbox Studios
  • "Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack" -- developed and published by Drinkbox Studios
"We're excited to have 'The Banner Saga' as one of the first ever titles from an independent game developer to be offered through AMD's 'Never Settle Forever' program," said Steve Escalante, GM, Versus Evil. "We're looking forward to the new audiences that our game can reach with Radeon users across the globe."

"Our acclaimed titles are gaining serious momentum among gamers of all ages," said Graham Smith, co-founder, Drinkbox Studios. "The introduction of indie packs to 'Never Settle Forever' is a great collaboration for AMD and Drinkbox Studios as entry-level AMD Radeon graphics cards can provide solid performance in both of our popular games."

The new Radeon Reward levels, benefits and eligible products for "Never Settle Forever" are as follows:
This "Never Settle Forever" offer will be available starting today at participating retailers and e-tailers. Gamers can redeem right away or save their codes in anticipation of upcoming titles until the promotion ends Aug. 31, 2014. For more information, please visit: www.amd.com/neversettleforever

Appears the mining craze has past... Pricing from some E-tailers (USA) are dipping to below MSRP on various models, however there are sites and some models (AIB's) that have yet to figure it out.

The grammar doesn't even make sense, what does 'never settle forever' even mean?

All this just screams "I'm desperate!"

You get something for free, where is your problem? It is a win win for both camps, as competition varies. Get laid...

I frequently play old games as well as new. From what I have gathered, many others also frequently purchase older games once they stumble onto a great game/series that they didn't realize existed.

Got bitten once by these AMD bundles. Bought a AMD video card, and just because I bought it from the "wrong store" AMD said, bad luck not our problem, no game for you. Reminds me of the soup Nazi.

purchasing old games is way cheaper than purchasing new games with steam summer/winter/thanksgiving sales. anyway, free games is better than no games at all so its still a win for customer. i think ill wait for R9 3XX series before i change my gpu. sure hope that time this budle is updated and available.

Knowing that AMD can't handle games in 1080p and 4k it's good move to bundle R9 290X with decade old games.

Oh Right, to you it seems like anything short of being a fanboy is considered a troll, the original comment was clearly written in humor, take those thorns out of your behind.

Can't we all just get along?
You don't see the CEO's of AMD and NVidia throwing spitballs at each other via private courier do you? You don't see their engineers dipping each others spanners in glue. You don't see their balls battering against each other the prove who is the biggest weenie head. They engage in competition. They don't try to troll each other, they don't make sarcastic or unwarranted accusations because they were born in another country, or wear different skin.

I for one think this is great. The Banner Saga is an excellent game from an independent studio. I'm glad to see these guys getting some nice PR from this, and other non-AAA games being offered. Not everybody wants the strict 3 pack of average AAA games when they buy a GPU. Most of those packaged games get sold of seperatly anyway. At least now they're supporting the people who need to be supported.

I don't buy a GPU based on what free stuff they give me. You can't complain because you're not getting free stuff that you want. You didn't complain 10 years ago when you bought a GPU saying "where's my free copy of Crysis goddamnit?". The free selection of games are not something you should base a company's quality of product on. Be grateful, stop being so self entitled, and stop acting like children on the internet because somebody bought something a different colo(u)r to you. We're all brothers in arms on the hardware front, we're all interested in healthy competition, quality products, and good reviews.

A company is not bad or good because of the things they do for free. They shouldn't be considered bad if they didn't offer anything at all either!

Actually the more I think about it this is just a way AMD can get the word out to Gamers, E-tailers and even some AIB's that the Mining craze has pasted. It's to spur AIB's to wake-up and be competitive and start perhaps think of rebates, and E-tailer/brick-n-mortar that the market as change, and give them something to spur sites to go and work/change their listings, and induce a reason to advertise and to consider the new more competitive environment.

My 2 cents worth....
The absolute last thing in the world even a die-hard Nvidia fan should want is to see AMD fail. I've used Nvidia for a long time now but I always wish AMD the best. I hope their r 300 series kicks Nvidia in the dick. Without a healthy competitive AMD we will get stagnation in advancements and more and more greed from Nvidia.
