Gigabyte Announces AORUS GeForce RTX 2080/Ti Xtreme Graphics Cards

Gigabyte is a little bit late to the party, but better late than never, for sure. The company has launched four new graphic cards -AORUS Geforce RTX 2080 Ti XTREME 11G, AORUS Geforce RTX 2080 Ti 11G, AORUS Geforce RTX 2080 XTREME 8G. All of them are equipped with "top-of-the-line" overclocked GPUs, and the AORUS Engine software makes it easy to control clock speeds, fan performance or power target. These cards feature the RGB three-ring light effect, WINDFORCE 3x 100mm Stack Fan, and 7 video outputs.

Those fans allow to reduce the graphics card length, but they also generate more wind pressure and therefore improve dissipation not only for the GPU but also for VRAM and MOSFET. According to Gigabyte these are the only GeForce RTX20 Series products that offer 7 video outputs: 3 HDMI, 3 DP and one USB-C for greater flexibility when connecting different monitors without any adaptors. There's a new aero-space graded PCB for these cards, that have a 12+2 Phase PCB design (RTX 2080 Xtreme) with a 16+3 phase PCB design for the RTX 2080 Ti Xtreme.

Sometime next week the second wave of 2080ti cards from everybody (GIGABYTE, MSI, ASUS, etc, etc) come out. They will be the fancier cards like the Gigabyte AORUS. I'm waiting on the MSI Sea Hawk because i believe the Gigabyte AORUS card will be to long for my case.

Think I would have preferred a second USB-C slot and only 2 HDMI's, but still, choice over no choice.

These should look good in my FT02 - the fan side of these faces sorta forward when looking thru the window.

I don't know. I caught a live broadcast from newegg that had a Gigabyte representative. He said they should roll out next week and newegg will get the first batches of Aorus cards. The representative went though the features and took them apart...it was cool.

I don't think that kind of person would be buying this card anyway.

I was thinking, that in my case i could put a mirror underneath the card. That would raise the visibility of the fans greatly.

The card just like the colorful gtx 980 Kudan .It looks very... non-mainstream? Anyway,it never occured to me that a card could be so ugly. The 980 ti g1 looks much better than it.The xtreme gaming, which is considered as the successor of G1 gaming, has a good appearance either.AORUS is very similar to xtreme gaming during 10 series period except the logo.Personly,I think the XTREME GAMING logo is better than AORUS.But from now on,over the whole span of 20 series,GIGA wont be able to announce a goodlooking flagship card...unless GIGA come out a new brand.

Nice finding, is it me or gigabyte is getting more and more ridiculous with their cards? At least in terms of design, rest i wouldn't know but they don't seem anything special even in terms of build quality and performance.

Ah, I understand now. I misidentified what you meant. I thought you were talking about lack of windows in cases or how a lot of people don't care about the inside of their case or put it outside of view. Have you looked into any of the inverted style cases? Like the Corsair 600C Inverse?

Sorry, But I was referring to the ti model. I got lucky and found the MSI RTX 2080 ti Ventus OC for sale. It's the same size as the MSI 1080 Gamer i have now.
