G90 will be a 65nm G80 with 512-bit GDDR4

Or at least, that's the current rumor. While we debate the current R600 rumors, The Inquirer is claiming that their "senior industry sources" have let loose the first G90 details rumors. The G90 will undertake the monumental task of putting the G80 through a die shrink. If all goes well, this will allow for very high clocks, much lower power consumption, and a lower production cost. NVIDIA also hopes to get hold of some GDDR4 for the G90, and will put it on a 512-bit bus.

Rumors at best. I wouldnt put it past inq to make up 60% of their "news" articles. They offend my sences more than toms hardware, an thats saying something.

Way I look at it, only reliable source is yourself, if you have owned something or read all there is to read about something AFTER its release, that puts you in an unbiased informed position.

People you know in person are reliable source, assuming they are showing whatever it is to you.

And even yourself could be completely unreliable.

If thats true, it sounds like quite the nifty card....can I trade my 8800GTS for it :(

Sound like a good upgrade, when they make a slower cheaper version of it. Can I say OC like no tomorrow :-o~~ (if there is infact a bit of truth as well, not just somethng to make AMDTI "worried")

If they manage to die shrink a g80 that would be EXTREMELY impressive.

Well i highly doubt it is true, but it would be a smart move to make a faster and lower powered card considering the size of the G80 cards. I just hope thats what will happen instead of another bohemoth.
