AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, Ryzen 9 5950X CPU-Z Scores Surface

Scores for AMD's upcoming Zen 3 Ryzen 7 5800X (8 core, 16 thread) and Ryzen 9 5950X (16 core, 32 thread) have surfaced on the CPU-Z benchmark. The results, which should - as always - be taken with appropriate salt, point towards the Ryzen 7 5800X scoring 650 single-core and 6593 points in the multi-threaded benchmark. The Ryzen 9 5950X is rated as scoring 690.2 points in the same single-threaded benchmark and 13306.5 points in the multi-threaded one. CPU-Z scores for the Intel Core i9-10900K (10 cores, 20 threads) are set at 584 and 7389 points respectively. This is further fuel to the fire on AMD's current technology and performance leadership.

MakaveliThere 3800X at 519 is abit low compared to what I see on my rig.

My 3800X with PBO Fmax on with the newest Bios at DDR4 3200 with a Ryzen Dram fast profile applied.

Single (5800X) 650 vs (3800X) 541.5 = 16%

Multi (5800X) 6593 vs (3800X) 5599.4 = 15%
650/541 = 1.201 ~20%
6593/5599 = 1.177 ~17,7%

Have you validate those scores? The single score is looking impressive for a 3800X.

I didn't for my original post.

After I read your post I did and the validation run score is even higher lol.

windwhirlVery impressive. What kind of cooling do you use for that?
Just an AIO with an open air case. Ryujin 360 and Thermaltake Core P3.

R0H1TWho cares, frankly aren't CPU-z scores trash anyway?
No actually, as the author of CPU-Z changed his benchmark when 2nd gen Ryzen came out and started to threaten Intel in his benchmark by scoring slightly higher. So he quickly released a new version, with the Ryzen CPU's scores lowered. Many said at the time that the change was due to pressure from Intel. That question was never answered, but the gimp towards Ryzen certainly remained in the benchmark.

So it is a big thing, because the new CPU's also have to work hard to get past the "gimp" in the benchmark before they can even begin to score higher than an Intel CPU.

And the fact that were are all here responding to this, means that this benchmark still carries weight, even if it shouldn't.

FMAX enabled

That is a nice score your all core clock speed of 4373 is higher than i've seen for most of these chips are you running a static overclock or this is just stock with PBO on?

PBO on + FMAX. The real difference is FMAX boosted all core clocks by about 150mhz compared to just PBO.

I have PBO on + FMAX on aswell but I don't see the all core clocks boosting that high.

The description for FMAX at the bottom says its boost single threaded workloads.

Wait what is this thing, I know of the EDC=1 tweak but what the hell is this FMax tweak? Can anyone explain how it works?

I want to see the numbers for single CCX chip like the 5800x or 5600X and with a non trail version so we can actually see the Write and Copy bandwidth numbers fingers crossed!

Keep in mind that the test is also with "slow" 3600MHz module with rubbish latencies.

Comparison to a 3950, same memory speed, tighter latencies.

Your right the numbers looks good for L1 and L2.

i'm on the fence currently for 5800X or 5900X since the price difference is only $100.

I may go with the 2 CCX chip in 5900X this time around if I see there are not latency differences between the two.

Just put in a 5800X chip today.

FMAX disabled because lowers performance on Zen 3 compared to Zen 2.

Right now I'm only running D.O.C.P

I will apply a Ryzen Dram Fast Profile later today.

Everything is pretty much just auto right now I didn't tweak anything yet.
