That's because tpucdn.com appears to be down so JavaScript that is required to run the forums isn't loading and is thus broken. If you disable JS you can at least post without too much trouble.

Everyone is getting bruteforced or DDoS'd. Even the school I work at was being bruteforced all of this week until our private isp sinkholed it. My isp has also been attacked, and most easy target websites are being targeted. OCUK for example are having issues. It's pretty widespread in the UK at the moment, bit sure if it's this game over virus using infected PC's as bots or something.

As always, java sucks though

hm have almost same problems when tpucdn.com was down. do you see picture of the buttons or you see only frame around their location.
could it be cause you changed your profile preferences.

Everything works fine except the text box you type in doesn't appear]

EDIT: Disabled Rich text editor and it works fine.

Yeah I've had nothing but issues with the RTE.. it's very annoying and it also crashes my phone browsers. All of them: Chrome, FF, Dolphin, default... when I tap into it it crashes them. Instantly.

Java is just a horrible crappy nightmare. Never understood why people continue to use it after everything that's happened to their security and all around instability.

Java != Javascript

the "Java" part in the name is pretty much the only thing Java and Javascript share. Otherwise they are completely unrelated.
Sure, Java is horrible. But there is none in this page. Only Javascript. And it's a completely different thing FFS.
I'd love less Javascript on the net, though.

Java isn't that bad. Considering that you can run Java applications cross-platform without any changes is pretty nice. The JVM is pretty fast in comparison to machine code, so bash the language itself, but not the JVM. People like me who develop with Clojure use the JVM and considering the JVMs excellent thread management, it's a great platform for multi-arch, concurrent applications.

@Vinska : I share you sentiment on JS needing to be used less, but there needs to be a client-side language that works on all browsers the same way and that doesn't suck. You shouldn't need to use something like JQuery to do everyday things.

the underlying issue was the "%20" in the url, which sprintf thought would be something it should put a variable in

yes sprint is a pathetic excuse for a cell company. crappy coverage and they blow all their money on sports crap. I'm stuck with them thru an MVNO and it sucks but it's the cheapest service I can get off contract
