Feedback & Bug Reports for new Forums

They use sprint's network. They are an MVNO that re-sells sprint's service. So that would not be a change at all.

@W1zzard
Feedback: I feel the latest alerts page just needs one little tweak to be far more practical. I suggest the following change.

Current:

What I would like to see:

The thanks received page might make some feel warm and fuzzy, but that spot would be much better served with the recent posts tab. This would benefit the mobile site too; the alerts page only shows the thanks received tab. If the mobile website had the recent posts tab instead that would be much easier to navigate the website.

It was a question of carrier, as in, "Do you use Virgin Mobile?"

It was a guess, since I once had a deal with Virgin Mobile. It was a good deal but, I could not use my phone unless I was in the City, where I live. But, as I sometimes do, I travel around to places less like the 'City' and the phone had no coverage. Not all bad in some ways but not ideal. For instance, a bar I visit here in Downtown. I used to be in a phone useless zone. Now, although they are evil and I was coerced to join in my brother's plan, which has been hellish, I have Verizon and I can't seem to lose a signal.

Feature suggestion:

Anyway you can implement a feature that if you were the last person to post in a thread, and if you were to post again and you still remain as the last person who posted in aforementioned thread, it would just edit the previous and add in the new?

MMO Champion has this feature and it's quite nice. Would cut down on a lot of the double, triple, quadruple posts im seeing here lately.

503 service unavailable...

W1zzard, are you playing again?

Replacing a broken HDD in one server. Not sure why it affected the others for so long while moving resources off the machine.

Welcome back, did you bring me souvenirs? Last time I was there I bought a wallet from a gay bar.

I could not access the forums for a few minutes.
I got this "Fatal error: Class 'Waindigo_Listener_LoadClass' not found in /home/techpowerup/www/forums/library/Waindigo/ModQueueInfo/Listener/LoadClass.php on line 4"
I could get to the main page, conversations, profile page, and alerts page.

Still slow to load...

Edit:
Still loading slow and getting " 502 Bad Gateway" Errors

Resyncing the new HDD.. gonna take a while ..

Not sure what happened with that ModQueueInfo error .. maybe the script file was corrupted somehow and resync detected it. I disabled the addon for now

502 Bad Gateway
The server returned an invalid or incomplete response.

Yep, seems to be coming up to warp speed now.

yeah, got that several times in a row, seems to be erratic... happens when I "Thanks" a post, and while I was typing up my response to another thread.

I'm still getting bad gateways and the site is loading at turtle speeds.

yup i'm aware of that, and it's only 30% done .. really lame.. didn't expect it to be that bad. now i need to find a way to work around a design failure in glusterfs (which provides our replicated disk filesystem)

I don't think its just TPU. I'm getting slow speeds all across Google to sites that are normally pretty speedy however my VPN's are hauling ass. I tested a few remote connections on different networks and they are also getting slow downs to places like Youtube. Strange indeed.

As for TPU itself I am getting 503's randomly.

Oh, it's better now. Soo much better. Thank you W1zzard!

Site was down most of the night for me...

it kept detecting failed resources
but didnt manage to fix them by itself
all i just told it "please check if resources are working"
and it magically detected all problems and fixed them

put more cat pictures on the server it will like you more
