Yeah largon, it did help. I used a VR, and tuned it down further, and it got me another .2ish V. I never did thank you for it, btw.

Just a thought, taken from seeing how some nut-jobs in the auto world run their intercoolers during autocross runs . . . inside a cooler full of ice water laying on the passenger floor board

BTW, I like how a $250 case has been parted out!

I'm starting to debate it. Condensation on the tubes would be a real issue tho.

true . . . you could always insulate the lines, though . . . you could use some rubber heater hose, whatever ID would match the OD of your cooling lines and feed the cooling lines through. The extra insulation would help . . . or, wrap and secure some rags around the tubing to absorb the condensation

Yeah, the ol' cogs are turning. I'm gonna try the other mods and/or cards first tho. If none of them will break 1gig, I'm gonna make a "custom" reservoir (read: 1 gallon jug with the top cut off, and fittings added. lol ) and fill it with ice water.

it ain't dead until it doesn't POST - if she's starting to degrade, break out the soldering gun and remove them pesky resistors on the PCB . . . they suck up a lot of juice

We're already past that point. lol. Got 3 more to mod and test. No sense in continuing on with this one, as I just can't get it to run above 1.75V, no matter what I try, and I've already hit my clock limit for 1.75V.

Sort of. You wire a resistor from the pin on the controller chip that is used to control OCP (or a pad that is directly connected to the pin) to ground. A 10k resistor has allowed me to hit 1.75 so far. Can't get it to go any higher no matter what I try tho. Wish I could find a way to totally defeat it.

I only had TEC for my cpu, but I melted it, remember? Still have the meanwell tho. Just no tec capable gpu block.
