Logar, your ATITool result is very interesting and the flashing result could be also interesting. Probably you will have the pipes. Please try and post what you have got (with another run of the ATITool with the same pipe fuse research).

you can try but i dont think you will get any more pipes btw im pretty shure thats a r423 but just incase upload your bios for me and ill tell you what core it has (so you will know what bios to try)

I can overclock my sapphire gto fireblade (R480, 1.6ns samsung) to 615/609 (stabel), reaching 6177 points in 3dmark05 with a venice 3000+ (not overclocked)

but i have only 12 active pipelines.

i know, that their must be a "F" instead fo an "E", but i have still hope

look at the core to be shure that it is a r480 but if i remember right that "e" means that the lasercut is cut (which can be moded) (somebody correct me if im wrong..) (upload your stock bios aswell dude )

who can tell me what is the best way to clock my x800rx? can i reach more pipelines?

To put it simply, the Radeon X800 RX is a Radeon X800GT, simply using a different name as decided by Club 3D. The clock speeds and architecture are the same as that seen in our recent Powercolor Radeon X800GT review, featuring as it does six vertex shaders and eight pixel pipelines clocked at 475MHz core and 490MHz DDR RAM (980MHZ effective). It does appear (from the part description on Club 3D's web site) that the Radeon X800RX uses only R480 cores, compared to Radeon X800GT parts which can be made up of either R423, R430 or R480 cores.

gt cant use r430 the core speed is too fast for it..

look and find out for shure if you have a r480 core ok

Sean, are you sure that this core has lasercuts (front side)? If yes the left cut should be connected and 16 pipes will be possible.
If not the core should be R480 which changes the situation and it will tells me different storry. But let the guy to post picture of the core and to send you the bios. I am very concerned with the results of that case .

logars card? no im not shure but it's worth a look under the hood and a shot in the dark if you know what i mean

I'd suggest takeing a pcie x850xtpe bios opening it with rabit bios editor 1.7 and disableing the vivo features (asumeing you have none on your card) and setting the ram clocks to 500

after you make the bios use the moded flashrom to flash the bios to your card if the pipes dont unlock try atiflash with the -newbios swich if that doesn't work then leave the xtpe bios on there and call it a day lol (btw fyi you arent going to get all 16 pipes so dont get your hopes up but there is a chance of 12 )

btw make shure that you dont put a agp bios on that thing it will turn it into a paperweight infact show me your bios once you are done and ill confirm it's a r480 bios

(if the flash doesn't work and you cant see the screen you will need a pci vid card to flash back )

but it doesnt work 4 me.
1. I tried with a Sapphire x850 xt pe bios (vivo disabled with rabit)
2. than a modified x800 gto² bios including 16 pipes
after thad, i overclocked my original gto fireblade bios with rabit 1.7 to 540/590

i tried to flash all bioses with the moddified flashrom utility
but, what you mean with "-newbios switch" that i should try with atiflash? thiere is no parameter like that listed in atiflash.

Now i will wait and look what the time brings or can i do a hardmod to unlock the 4 locked pipes?

It isn't listed, but it is a hidden option in atiflash 3.xx. There is no need to try it, since you have already tried the modified flashrom. When using the -newbios option, it behaves equivalent to the modified flashrom.

actualy there is sometimes atiflash can unlock pipes that flashrom won't (idono) so it's best to try both

those marks in the picture dudes im not shure what exactly they are for but it may explin the werid fuse reading logar got (though idono)

the x850 pro is usaly soldered and the xt/xtpe usaly isn't
