The FireGL V3600 was a performance-segment professional graphics card by ATI, launched in June 2007. Built on the 65 nm process, and based on the RV630 graphics processor, in its RV630 GL variant, the card supports DirectX 10.0. Since FireGL V3600 does not support DirectX 11 or DirectX 12, it might not be able to run all the latest games. The RV630 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 153 mm² and 390 million transistors. It features 120 shading units, 8 texture mapping units, and 4 ROPs. ATI has paired 256 MB DDR2 memory with the FireGL V3600, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 600 MHz, memory is running at 500 MHz.
Being a single-slot card, the ATI FireGL V3600 does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is rated at 73 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. FireGL V3600 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 1.0 x16 interface. Its price at launch was 299 US Dollars.
