The FirePro RG220A was a professional graphics card by AMD, launched on May 4th, 2010. Built on the 55 nm process, and based on the M93 graphics processor, the card supports DirectX 10.1. Since FirePro RG220A does not support DirectX 11 or DirectX 12, it might not be able to run all the latest games. The M93 graphics processor is a relatively small chip with a die area of only 73 mm² and 242 million transistors. It features 80 shading units, 8 texture mapping units, and 4 ROPs. AMD has paired 512 MB GDDR3 memory with the FirePro RG220A, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 500 MHz, memory is running at 800 MHz.
Being a single-slot card, the AMD FirePro RG220A does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is rated at 35 W maximum. Display outputs include: 1x DVI. FirePro RG220A is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 interface. The card measures 168 mm in length, 111 mm in width, and features a single-slot cooling solution.
