The GeForce 800M was a graphics card by NVIDIA, launched in March 2014. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the GF117 graphics processor, in its N14M-GL variant, the card supports DirectX 12.0. The GF117 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 116 mm² and 585 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked GeForce 820A, which uses the same GPU but has all 96 shaders enabled, NVIDIA has disabled some shading units on the GeForce 800M to reach the product's target shader count. It features 48 shading units, 8 texture mapping units and 8 ROPs. NVIDIA has placed 1,024 MB DDR3 memory on the card, which are connected using a 64-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 738 MHz, memory is running at 900 MHz.
Its power draw is rated at 15 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. GeForce 800M is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 2.0 x16 interface.
