The GeForce GTX 765M was a mobile graphics chip by NVIDIA, launched in May 2013. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the GK106 graphics processor, in its N14E-GE-B-A1 variant, the chip supports DirectX 12. Even though it supports DirectX 12, the feature level is only 11_0, which can be problematic with newer DirectX 12 titles. The GK106 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 221 mm² and 2,540 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked GeForce GTX 660, which uses the same GPU but has all 960 shaders enabled, NVIDIA has disabled some shading units on the GeForce GTX 765M to reach the product's target shader count. It features 768 shading units, 64 texture mapping units, and 16 ROPs. NVIDIA has paired 2,048 MB GDDR5 memory with the GeForce GTX 765M, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 797 MHz, which can be boosted up to 863 MHz, memory is running at 1002 MHz (4 Gbps effective).
Being a mxm module card, its power draw is rated at 75 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device.
