The Quadro P5000 X2 Mobile was a professional mobile graphics chip by NVIDIA, launched on January 11th, 2017. Built on the 16 nm process, and based on the GP104 graphics processor, in its N17E-Q5-A1 variant, the chip supports DirectX 12. The GP104 graphics processor is a large chip with a die area of 314 mm² and 7,200 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked GeForce GTX 1080, which uses the same GPU but has all 2560 shaders enabled, NVIDIA has disabled some shading units on the Quadro P5000 X2 Mobile to reach the product's target shader count. Quadro P5000 X2 Mobile combines two graphics processors to increase performance. It features 2048 shading units, 128 texture mapping units, and 64 ROPs, per GPU. NVIDIA has paired 32 GB GDDR5 memory with the Quadro P5000 X2 Mobile, which are connected using a 256-bit memory interface per GPU (each GPU manages 16,384 MB). The GPU is operating at a frequency of 1164 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1506 MHz, memory is running at 1500 MHz (6 Gbps effective). Being a mxm module card, the NVIDIA Quadro P5000 X2 Mobile does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is rated at 200 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device.
