The Radeon 530 Mobile GDDR5 was a mobile graphics chip by AMD, launched on April 18th, 2017. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the Weston graphics processor, in its Weston PRO variant, the chip supports DirectX 12. This ensures that all modern games will run on Radeon 530 Mobile GDDR5. The Weston graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 125 mm² and 1,550 million transistors. It features 384 shading units, 24 texture mapping units, and 8 ROPs. AMD has paired 2,048 MB GDDR5 memory with the Radeon 530 Mobile GDDR5, which are connected using a 64-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 730 MHz, which can be boosted up to 891 MHz, memory is running at 900 MHz (3.6 Gbps effective).
Its power draw is rated at 50 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device. Radeon 530 Mobile GDDR5 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 3.0 x8 interface.
