The Radeon RX Vega M GL is a mobile graphics chip by AMD, launched on February 1st, 2018. Built on the 14 nm process, and based on the Polaris 22 graphics processor, in its VegaM XL variant, the chip supports DirectX 12. This ensures that all modern games will run on Radeon RX Vega M GL. The Polaris 22 graphics processor is an average sized chip with a die area of 208 mm² and 5,000 million transistors. Unlike the fully unlocked Radeon RX Vega M GH, which uses the same GPU but has all 1536 shaders enabled, AMD has disabled some shading units on the Radeon RX Vega M GL to reach the product's target shader count. It features 1280 shading units, 80 texture mapping units, and 32 ROPs. AMD has paired 4 GB HBM2 memory with the Radeon RX Vega M GL, which are connected using a 1024-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 931 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1011 MHz, memory is running at 700 MHz.
Its power draw is rated at 65 W maximum. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device.
