SilverStone Intros FW124-ARGB Slimline 120mm Fan

Continuing on its streak of releasing slimline 120 mm fans, SilverStone rolled out the FW124-ARGB. This 120 mm spinner is 15 mm thick instead of the usual 25 mm, leaving you with more room in SFF cases. The fan features the same 9-blade impeller design with blade-integrated guide-vanes as the FN124 from last week; but backs it with a more premium fluid-dynamic bearing instead of sleeved. The impeller is made of frosted, translucent polycarbonate instead of opaque black, because it has to diffuse the six addressable RGB LEDs studded in the impeller hub. These LEDs take in standardized 3-pin addressable RGB input. The motor is more advanced, and takes in 4-pin PWM input instead of 3-pin DC. The fan spins between 800 to 2,000 RPM, while pushing 13.1 to 32.6 CFM of air-flow, with a proportionate noise output ranging between 14.7 to 24.6 dBA. The fan is rated for 50,000 hours of life. The company didn't reveal pricing.

ARCTIC releases P-Fan Series High-static Pressure With Six Fan Models

ARCTIC today expanded its range of case fans with the new P Series. The high-static pressure fan line consists of six models, each available in 120mm and 140mm versions. The P-Fans are engineered to maximize the cooling potential of radiators. Their newly designed fan blades enable a focused airflow, which makes them an ideal choice on heatsinks and radiators with higher air resistance.

In addition to the new impeller design, the PWM Models of the P Series (including the BioniX) also feature a new, highly efficient motor technology. Thanks to the Neodym-Iron-Boron-Magnet ring of the latest generation, the fans run smoothly and with notably less operating noise and vibration from commutation without compromising performance and service life.

Noctua presents NF-A12x25 120mm Fan, 140mm Adaptor and redux line NF-P12

Noctua today presented its much-anticipated next-generation 120x25mm A-series fan and the complementary NA-SFMA1 adaptors that allow it to be used on 140mm based watercoolers. The new NF-A12x25 is the first fan made of Noctua's novel Sterrox LCP material and integrates the company's latest innovations in aerodynamic engineering in order to achieve an unprecedented level of quiet cooling performance. While the NF-A12x25 becomes the new flagship model in the 120mm range, the classic NF-P12 will be reissued in the streamlined, more affordable redux line.

"The NF-A12x25 is our most advanced fan today. We've spent more than 4.5 years developing it and it's been easily the most thorny, intricate development project we've completed so far," explains Lars Strömbäck (Noctua CTO):"In order to achieve our goal of surpassing our renowned NF-F12 and NF-S12A, we went for a completely different approach and had to use a tip clearance of only 0.5mm, which poses various new difficulties in manufacturing."

CORSAIR Launches New Range of Magnetic Levitation ML PRO RGB Fans

CORSAIR, a world leader in enthusiast memory, high-performance gaming hardware and PC components and today announced the launch of the new ML PRO RGB range of PC cooling fans. Building on the success of CORSAIR ML Series fans, which are equipped with magnetic levitation bearings to deliver almost frictionless operation, CORSAIR ML PRO RGB fans add four individually controlled RGB LEDs on the fan's center hub, creating a vivid 360° blast of light and color. Enhanced by frosted fan blades and customizable with near-limitless options in CORSAIR LINK software, ML PRO RGB fans create a bright circle of custom-color-lighting that makes any PC standout from the crowd.

Behind the lighting, ML PRO RGB fans retain the quality and performance that's made ML Series fans a staple of high-end PCs and the most ambitious builds, with a magnetic levitation fan bearing that physically levitates the fan rotor to almost entirely eliminate bearing friction. The custom-designed fan rotor delivers the perfect balance between high static pressure and high airflow, while a low-noise tuned PWM control range means that, even at full speed, ML PRO RGB fans are incredibly quiet.

Noctua Introduces Automotive-compliant 24V IndustrialPPC Fans

Noctua today updated its range of ruggedised 24V industrialPPC fans. Using the novel NE-FD4 motor driver IC that complies with the Automotive Electronics Council's highly rigorous AEC-Q100 failure-mechanism-based stress test qualification, the new Q100 revision NF-F12 (120mm) and NF-A14 (140mm) models complement the industrialPPC line's signature rigidity and IP67 ingress protection with extreme electrical robustness and sophisticated inrush current suppression. This makes them ideal not only for automotive applications but also for use in hostile or sensitive electronic environments.

"With its highly rigid polyamide construction and IP67-class water and dust protection, the industrialPPC line has opened up a wealth of new industrial markets for us since its introduction in 2014," explains Roland Mossig (Noctua CEO). "True to the industrialPPC's tagline of 'Protected Performance Cooling', we have now also toughened up these fans from an electronics point of view so that they are equally well protected against environmental and electrical hazards."

Reeven Introduces the Kiran RGB LED Fan Series

Reeven, which has done some of the best price/performance air coolers in the market, has done the unthinkable: they've abandoned their yellow fan-blade design in favor of a RGB solution. Their Kiran RGB series ups their offerings in this field to five different products. Reeven is apparently (and smartly) covering all its bases with a product for every consumer, so let's hope this is just that and not a departure from their bold aesthetics choice.

The Kiran RGB LED fans sport eleven blades, in a design reminiscing of their Coldwing series. The Kiran RGB LED fits standard 120mm fan mounts, with its rounded frame and impeller blades made in a translucent white so as to diffuse the RGB LED lighting across the surface. The RGB LED Kiran fans will most likely be available with PWM and non-PWM options, and Reeven has stated that the price for each fan is set at $16.99 USD, which should place it as a sleeve-bearing fan. Expect more details to be revealed at Computex 2017, Reeven will have a presence to showcase its latest products.

Lian-Li Showcases Numerous New Products at CES 2017

At CES 2017, Lian-Li showcased their latest, upcoming additions to their product lines: from a standing desk to numerous computer cases and an external RAID enclosure, there was something for every taste.

First, Lian Li's latest addition to their standing desk line of products: dubbed the DK-05, this standing desk allows the user to install two different systems (supporting E-ATX motherboards) at the same time, something that its predecessor was unable to do. Lian Li suggests that the chassis could house both a file server and a gaming computer, all within a rather striking exterior of tempered glass and brushed aluminum. The desk features a motorized height adjustment, with knobs on a small control panel on the right side of the desk that control both the height adjustment and the speed of the desk's 12 fans (six for intake, and six for exhaust duty). It also supports triple-slot radiators for augmented cooling capabilities.
