Cooler Master Launches Silent Pro Gold Power Supply Series

High-end computers are getting more and more demanding when it comes to power requirements and these days it's not good enough to have any old power supply if you're a demanding gamer or overclocker. The latest top of the range graphics cards from both ATI and Nvidia are demanding more power than ever before and the latest flagship motherboards are equally demanding once you start pushing the limits of your system by overclocking it.

The new Silent Pro Gold series from Cooler Master addresses all of these problems while maintaining - or even exceeding - an extraordinary 90 percent power efficiency under load which gains it an 80 Plus Gold certification.

Cooler Master Launches HAF X Case

The much anticipated HAF X debuts as the most powerful HAF (High Air Flow) chassis yet. Designed for performance systems, this chassis is able to house today's latest and hottest CPUs, motherboards, graphics cards and is even compatible with USB 3.0 devices. With specialized support and cooling for graphic cards, massive airflow with the help of up to four gigantic fans and easy access to installed components, this is as close as it gets to a system builder's 'dream case'.

HAF X provides powerful airflow with the help of massive-sized fans: dual 200mm top fans, front 230mm red LED on/off fan provide outstanding system cooling and extreme airflow for the entire system. An additional 200mm fan with dedicated air duct has also been added for unsurpassed VGA cooling.

Here are some last minute pictures of the CM 690 II chassis along with the Cooler Master GX line of PSUs and V6 CPU cooler. There has been a lot of buzz around the new case and it lives up to the hype. Upon first inspection, the case does seem to be a valid successor of the original 690. The most obvious and certainly very nice feature is the top SATA port, which allows you to plug in drives without any extra casing or the need to open the chassis up (Ed. note: no the hot girl does not ship with the chassis). Next up we have the GX series of power supplies, which will be available at 650 and 750W soon.

Last, but not least we have the V6 and V6GT CPU coolers. They differ only in the number of supplied fans and look of the top cover. The V6 holds a single fan, with the possibility of adding a second one, while the GT already ships with a pair along with an LED light on top of the cooler, which may be turned on or off. These coolers have a V shaped arrangement of heatpipes so that each of them has direct access to the air flow of the coolers.
