Montech Releases SKY Series High-End PC Cases

Gaming Case, Power and Cooling brand Montech has just released it's SKY series, Montech's latest high-end line of PC cases. The SKY puts extreme prejudice and focus on details and materials. And further combining this attention to details with it's designer front mesh panel to achieve unmatched cooling performance and expandability. The SKY ONE is the first to come from the new line-up, and includes many Montech proprietary technologies. The front panel features Montech's latest Air Performance Fine Mesh, also adding on USB Type-C, dedicated GPU Card Holder and Montech's Cable Management Bar makes the SKY ONE the most feature rich Montech case to date. Together with front and top side Dual 360 mm Radiator Support, it's a mashup of functionality and style for the PC Gamer.

Taking front stage at the front of the case the SKY ONE incorporates Montech's unique "Air Performance Fine Mesh" design front panel. This mesh not only allows maximum airflow through the entire front panel, but also effectively prevents dust from entering. When cleaning is needed just pop off the front mesh for easy cleaning. Three front USB ports including a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C, which can achieve high-speed and full charging power for Type-C peripherals and devices.

Fractal Design Launches Meshify 2 PC Case Lineup

Fractal Design today announced the eagerly awaited Meshify 2. Not only does the Meshify 2 range stay true to its legacy in terms of uncompromising design - it also comes with welcome additions like a movable wall for enhanced flexibility, a fully removable top panel and a front nylon filter that can be removed for increased airflow. Alongside the mid-tower model, the XL version is also launching today; accommodating motherboards all the way up to and including SSI-EEB, holding several radiators and up to 23 storage devices without issue.

Like black diamond facets, the angular asymmetry of the Meshify line has carved a space uniquely its own. And with a sturdy construction that is both stealthy and smooth, the Meshify 2 Series is sure to impress with its unique mix of style and substance. It is a textbook example of what you should expect from a modern case when it comes to modularity, flexibility and ease of use.

Lian Li Launching a Budget-Friendly PC Case With the LANCOOL 215

Lian Li is known at the higher-than-mainstream pricing bracket of the PC case world. The company made a name for itself with innovative-looking, angled motherboard brackets and well thought-out and engineered case layouts and materials, but has usually served the higher end of the spectrum. The company seems to be dipping its toes ever more slightly in the budget-friendly space with it's LANCOOL 215, though, which is bound to be releases this August.

The LANCOOL 215 will offer support for both standard and EATX motherboards, with the system being cooled by 2x 200 mm ARGB front fans that pull fresh (fresher in some places around the globe) air from outside the case through a perforated front panel. Hot air is then exhausted through a pre-installed rear 120 mm fan (non-RGB). A 360 mm radiator is supported in the front of the chassis, while the top supports a 280 mm one for added flexibility. But some would argue that having a good case for your PC hardware isn't enough unless you can showcase your PC hardware picks for your current build, so the LANCOOL 215 uses a tempered glass side panel for added "cool" factor. There's also an ARGB Lian Li logo on the bottom of the front fascia of the LANCOOL 215, and a PSU shroud which is practically standard these days. The best news? The LANCOOL 215 from Lian Li will be available for $69.99.

A PSU shroud and smart cable routing options including Velcro straps and plenty of eyelets provide a neat interior, while removable dust filters in the front and bottom of the case keep dust outside. The tempered glass side panel provides a great view into the interior of the case.

iBuyPower Shows Off the Revolt GT3 Chassis ready for ITX and Intel NUC Extreme

iBuyPower is clearly focusing a bit more on providing a more unique look and feel with their systems in recent years and the Revolt GT3 is no exception. The chassis at the foundation of the system can hold either a classic ITX based system with the GPU connected with an flexible cable on the backside of the motherboard or may be used to house the just announced Intel NUC Extreme platform. Either way, the platform offers maximum flexibility for building small form factor systems.

This is done with a suspended frame inside the chassis which can be pulled out completely for easy assembly. The covers may also be flipped around, giving you additional space. iBuyPower is working on brackets which can hold low profile fans or additional storage if you choose to rotate the top mesh cover for example. The Revolt GT3 is still being fine-tuned and the variant we saw for the NUC Extreme Platform was 3D printed while the additional mounting components for cooling and storage were not final yet either

Silverstone at CES 2020: Cases, PSUs, and Accessories Galore

Silverstone at CES 2020 took the opportunity to showcase selections of their portfolio for the media, ranging from PC cases in major form-factors, PSUs, and a range of "ease-of-life" and aesthetic-driven accessories. Accessory-wise, there's a range of SSD-related products, such as the MS09 stick, which allows conversion of an M.2 SSD to what basically amounts to a USB 3.1 pen drive; other products in this category include the MS09-Mini and the MS11, which improves support for the NVMe protocol. The ECM26 is a PCIe adapter for M.2 sticks, while the Silverstone TP02-M2 presents itself as a heatsink for installation on non-passive-cooled M.2 SSDs.

Continuing the SSD accessories galore, there are a number of other solutions, including a tool-less NMVe to PCIe adapter (ECM21-E), an ARGB powered one (ECM24-ARGB, which includes a heatsink), a simpler, non-ARGB one with a heatsink (ECM23), and my personal favorite, a docking station for a barebones M.2 drive you may have around, in the form of the TS16 station. The presence of a Power button very surely means this can't be hot-swapped - the risk of data-loss is real.
