Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Story Trailer Showcases New Na'vi Clans

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on December 7. A new trailer for the game reveals further story details about the hero's journey and the clans they will meet as they explore the Western Frontier of Pandora to reconnect with their lost heritage. In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you will play as a Na'vi who was abducted as an infant by the RDA and trained in The Ambassador Program (TAP) to serve human interests on Pandora. When the RDA evacuated Pandora during the Battle of the Hallelujah Mountains (as seen in the first Avatar movie), you were put into emergency cryosleep. You wake up 15 years later, finally free from the RDA, but lost and unfamiliar with your home world.

You set out on a journey to discover the world that was kept from you, meeting other Na'vi clans and learning about Na'vi culture. You discover that you are a member of the respected Sarentu clan, believed to have disappeared years before. As you journey across the Western Frontier, you will meet the Aranahe, a clan of artisans known for their weaving skills; the Zeswa, a proud nomadic clan that lives in symbiosis with gigantic beasts called Zakru; and the Kame'tire, a reclusive, enigmatic clan skilled in healing and potion-making.
As a rite of passage, you will bond with your own banshee, or ikran (as the Na'vi say). Together, you will be able to explore Pandora from a new perspective: that of the skies. You can also fish with them, perform acrobatics above the clouds, and fight against the RDA together. You can also expand your exploration possibilities on the ground by learning to ride a direhorse.

Once again, the RDA poses a threat to Pandora's flourishing ecosystems. With your knowledge of human technology and weapons as well as your Na'vi background and skills, you are uniquely equipped to push back against the RDA. It is up to you to gain the trust of other Na'vi clans to rally them to protect Pandora because working together, the Na'vi are stronger.

Visit the Ubisoft Store to pre-order Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which is available in multiple editions: The Gold Edition includes the game and Season Pass (including two DLCs, an extra quest, a unique banshee, and more); the Ultimate Edition includes the game, Season Pass, Ultimate Pack, and digital art book. The Collector's Edition is also available exclusively at select retailers and includes the Ultimate Edition of the game and physical items including a 35 cm-tall statue, an artbook, a premium SteelBook, a field notebook, a set of three lithographs, and an AMP suit blueprint. Upon pre-ordering, you will receive a "Child of Two Worlds" pre-order bonus with a character cosmetic set and a weapon skin. Players can also play the Ultimate Edition of the game on day 1 when they subscribe to Ubisoft+ on PC and Xbox via Ubisoft Connect.

That's how I felt about the second movie yet it still made over 2 billion... I'm sure a couple people will buy it.

I felt that way about The Force Awakens, but that also made a lot of money. Getting people to part with money seems easy for big movie studios banking on nostalgia.

Although each entry tailed off a bit after that.... With Avatar I thought most it's success was due to the 3D boom at the time so when part 2 game out way later I expected the glorified Fern Gully franchise to not be nearly that popular especially post pandemic when a lot of movies underperform.

Actually the games looks quite good, graphics wise. Let's hope the story can keep it up.
The previous Avatar game from 2009, was also very good, and finished it both as Naavi and Terran.

The first Avatar was gorgeous so that might have helped it and the message resonates with many in this time of wanton environmental destruction in the name of more iPhones and F150s. Then again, take a look at the MEG franchise whose movies are monuments to stupidity and scientific illiteracy, but they have done fairly well too.

Count me as 1. One of the things I love about Japanese Games is the Fantasy Worlds they create. I look forward to flying around Pandora.

From a technology standpoint the game looks interesting if it ends up a decent game I will likely pick it up regardless of branding.

The speed in the Cutscenes looks interesting if they can match that in the Game it will be an interesting Game of the Year for 2023. Can we say BG3 right now or Armored Core 6 but then we have had some huge releases this year I pick TWWH3 but that is my opinion. From the first time I saw Avatar in 3D I was hooked. The 2nd movie is not as organic as the first and some of the scenes are a little stretched but when Jake says to his 2nd son "I see you" it got me so it is good. To cruise around in this world seems more than enough and the combat is gravy and ketchup on those french fries.

I can understand that if you have the ability to make a Avatar game, you make it.
I can understand that if you have the ability to make a Star Wars game, you make it.

Selfishly, I just want (more of) Massive to go back to work on The Division (3). But, you know, not release 90% of the game on day 1 so that it can sustain itself better long-term unlike TD2.

While I hope their work does well and that fans of those series enjoy them, I'll be a little pissed if one of those games cracks the Destiny nut and gets more resources/consistent long-term support rather than TD.

see that is just beyond me, I cant even imagine watching a movie twice....well maybe with a 5+ year gap...you already seen it, you know what happens right? how can you not experience that as a complete waste of time?
and then this movie, at 60+.... im like half the guy's age and I Feel I have consumed all that media has to offer pretty much, Avatar was one the most done to death generic reskin plots ever....I felt robbed watching it even once....

Im usually pretty damn good at "putting myself in another's shoes" but this....yeah again this is beyond me.
MxPhenom 216I will....
ok why, why would you, of all the games out there and all the media you could consume, how on earth are you even remotely interested in large blue aliens vs humans which is the most obvious native american reskin story you have ever seen...why on earth would this do it for you?

Yeah, I'm the same, since as soon as you start watching something again, you remember it, so it ends up being a waste of time.
Well, he likes a lot of strange movies imho, but hey, each to their own.
He perplexes me as well, in many ways.

There's been infinite number of people over the years who have covered how absolutely empty and shameless the Dances with Blue People movies are.

It looks like Ubisoft is really priming up a gigantic financial loss, can't wait to see even more departures, lay offs, with a polygon article that reads "Ubisoft reports 'lackluster' sales for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora".

Genuinely have not seen anyone or anything care for this game, besides a few people in this comments section. Other than that? Absolutely nothing, though that could be attributed to the fact that I don't use social media, so I don't know, still expecting that headline though.
