This, highly likely, being the last desktop GPU to be released. I'd expect this is the driver that fixes 99% of problems. Or it just continues, because using a driver that supports all the way back to GTX 700 Series doesn't work for the tech in the RTX 50 series.

I've no faith in NVIDIA getting all their Game Ready driver issues sorted, since they've already made it loud and clear that they couldn't care less about the gaming audience at this point. But all we can do is pray for a miracle, sadly.

Okay then why doesn't nVidia use AI to write/fix the drivers?
Oh wait maybe they do... and this is the best result current AI can deliver.
That's why this isn't marketed and bragged about, who would brag about a dumb AI messing things up?

yeah they seem fine. In that, atleast these ones didnt lock up my system and black screen.

With the driver issues and the 12 pin connector problems, it is prime opportunity for AMD or Intel to capitalize on the missteps, the questions is will they.

I'm sure some people that had bought 9070 xt were aware nvidia's driver issues though and otherwise would have went Nvidia this round. I think because stock was so low for so long though, Nvidia just didn't care. i think its less to do with capitalism and more just an inept company

I'd agree that there must be at least one person who did this so "some" is accurate, but I doubt it was hoardes of people. For every one that had an issue there must be dozens, maybe hundreds who have not, such is the nature of the vocal minority.

Just like AMD's Driver reputation (which I also believe is exaggerated and outdated), it's perpetuated and amplified by the nature of the way we are - when we have issues we complain, and if things are working fine we don't. So you're exposed to disproportionately more of the people with issues than those without.

The only 50 series bug I've had so far has been weird OC behaviour at bootup (not applying my OC settings correctly), which is hard to be all that mad about when I used 3rd party tools to do it.

I don't deny there have been issues of course, I see the complaints, but because there's a bug listed/raised, that doesn't necessitate it affecting everyone.

Zero issues on my 2 year old RTX 4070, drivers are fantastic. Obviously they'll get the sorted for the 50 series too enough with the hyperboli they already have nothing but a handful of minor fixes a week at this point.

At this point I think the issue is deep inside the hardware.
These frequent driver fixes are just 'try & error' to see which 'cover up' method works the best.

As long as there's a buttload of fans who wouldn't have anything other than an Nvidia GPU in their computer, and a buttload of other customers who are high on the AI kool-aid, I don't think Nvidia has a reason to care. Value-conscious hardware enthusiasts are a tiny minority compared to either group.

Yes, I'm using it now. Seems to be pretty good; however, this still hasn't fixed my Control game. /sigh

Yeah, 40 series wasn't the problem...its the 50 series. Are you using the current drivers or you stayed with the "older" drivers that Nvidia said for 40 series users to stay with?

Nvidia probably let AI write drivers now :laugh: , we are seeing far more drivers being release than usual, and they are all poor quality.

RTX 5060 reviews that went "live" with this driver show that it's again a bugfest.

It indeed is exaggerated but it still bugs out occasionally and allows tons less fine tuning than the nVidia driver does. The fact you can't overclock your GPU from the control panel and the fact it looks exactly the same as it looked a couple dozen years ago doesn't do nVidia any wrong: OC is dead anyway and style doesn't matter if you have no substance.

I think the 57x.xx drivers per se are fine, it's just hardware was made sans enough effort.

Well, nothing blew up yet, I still think after they ironed out all the issues, there is still performance numbers to improve.

Oh and if any of you haven't played Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, damn, just do it, do it. I am a cranky old gamer and this thing, is now one of my top games of all time, if not number 1, extremely well done. damn.

Seems like it solved my black screen issue that sometimes happened (for a second or so) when I switched from D2R to Viber (happened even in 566.36).

nV control panel's native windows style looks professional. A big selling point for me, however taste can be subjective. OC is dead but UV is very much alive. It still doesn't matter, because using a "curve" in Afterburner is superior to AMD's method.

Tested this garbage of a driver in 3 games ,and same crashes as before. Had to revert to the last working driver for the 50x0 series, 573.23:
