Who in their right mind would ever buy this over a 5090?
Oh... It's an RTX 5080 variant. :(
Don't tell me. It costs more than a MSRP RTX 5090, doesn't it?
And then there's the mundane, almost nauseating fact it's also just a graphics card, which in 3 years will struggle to play AAA games at 4k res without software tweaks (like all cards).
Its worse than an expensive car in that sense. The only statement I see is 'I'm a fucking idiot and have no idea what to do with money'.
At least with a shiny car you can impress the ladies and go places. With this? Well you could throw it at someone I guess, to have an overpriced blunt weapon. Though I'm unsure if anyone's in range from the attic nerd cave.
Everyone should want a GPU's price to fall as it ages. If they aren't, you are simply paying more to continue to play games with their ever increasing hardware demands.
There are at least a dozen other games where it can't maintain 60 fps in 4K.
