AMD's New Puma Platform Available Across Entire Toshiba Satellite Lineup

Several hours after AMD announced their new Puma platform, Toshiba's Digital Products Division (DPD) has stepped up as the first manufacturer to confirm they will be using the Turion X2 Ultra-based technology in their latest Satellite notebooks. Six models in the Satellite range will be offered with AMD Athlon Dual Core QL, Turion Dual Core RM and Turion Ultra ZM processors. These new models include Satellite P300D, Satellite A300D, Satellite M300D, Satellite U400D, Satellite L300D and Satellite L350D series. Toshiba's AMD-powered Satellite series will be available this summer from a variety of major consumer electronics and computer stores nationwide.

I would say both, the lower-ends being "green". The TurionX2 Ultra would be like the Black Edition of the notebooks, and the laptops with the Ultra, will most likely include the new Radeon 3870 Mobile....As that's what the Puma platform is.

wrong, most pumas has HD 3200 aka 780G IGP, but many have HD 3450 discrete, 3650 discrete and there is mobility 38x0 to ;P

even Crossfire X is supported so you can use both IGP + discrete, so you save power and get more performace when you need it ;)

Most do yes, but a ultra and a mobility 3870 is still a Puma...
