so i dont believe its a fake
The GTX 1660 Super that I got in summer of 2020, has a heatsink like that one. It gave me zero problems during the last time I used it.

"problem computers monitor is vga monitor"

it wont work. You cant use VGA on modern displays, you've said you used HDMI, but now VGA?
there are 2 monitors that i have one VGA and another HD,
i am using HD monitor with HDMI cable for testing purposes only with the problem PC

Okay good, sorry that confused me for a moment.

At this stage, it's almost isolation test/teardown time

Move obstructions like cables or objects blocking our view as best you can and take phots of the board (NOT super close ups, we need to understand what we're seeing) so we can look for anything unusual, like disconnected power cables and so on

Show us the insides, the back of the system, hell show a video of the system failing to start - look for LED debug lights on the mobo and include them in the video (and take a photo if they remain static on an error code)

hello, im posting a video, also 2 photos. the computer doesnt make any beep sound when booting, neither if my 2 computer do. i dnt know if the file will upload in rar format or not, if it dsnt ill have to upload to youtube and post link here.
Also another question- what if we attach 2 internal hdds with the same cable to the MB, does it make any diff?

Okay those photos are pretty good
Forum doesnt support rar or large files

Cant see the 4/8 pin CPU power connector, or the outputs at the back of the system

videos will have to be youtube (unlisted videos is a good option)

Those are your debug LEDs. They have writing next to them, and clear photos showing what those are doing (or a video if they cycle) will explain the problem.

From what i can see there, it says CPU. That means the CPU power cable may be out.

aaaah i seeeeeee, okok. (ill cover the cpu power connector in the next post)
that video has uploaded please check this link

should i make a separate video of these debug lights when the system is booting up right?

The video goes over the LED's but i still cant see clearly which LED is lit up - does look like CPU.

Video isnt really neccesary, more that you need to check which one is lit up and if they stay still, or go through a pattern.

You didnt change or remove the CPU during all this?

Whats this thing? If its *any* kind of converter or adaptor for video, get rid of it. Do not use for testing.

Well, take the CPU out.

Clean the contact pads on the CPU carefully with a lint free cloth

Check the pins for damage on the mobo

and... mention things like this? hiding that kind of information defeats the purpose of asking for help

here is the cpu power connecting cable photo, actually its very little space in here so my hand dsnt move easily. could i have destroyed the cpu? ONE MORE THING, before all of this started, the pc first had a problem where it would turn on and off when booting. i sent my motherboard for repair on warranty as the mechanic told me it was MB problem. after that the gpu shut down, then it got replaced under warranty, and now im seeing its the cpu xo

i had no idea why would i hide that thing it serves me no purpose xd. ive written the whole story again above. i clean the cpu now. thanks so much

Sorry, thats just my own frustration coming out - it's a common trend for people to assume they know the cause, and omit information that could have got a faster diagnosis.

Is it working with the CPU pads cleaned? A fingerprint (especially with any thermal paste on it) can cause this sort of problem

its ok man ure helping me with this, and im total illiterate with computers as u can tell. im opening up the computer right now lets see how it goes. ill report back asap thanks

if you just not sure, just try to test it out from the case, just the motherboard, ram, psu and the card
n i dunno if i miss something but what brand that card? from the look it's pretty suspicious

oh you mean turning the computer ON without the processor??? ok ill try that. the gpu is legit, its a zotac 1660

mmm it turns on, the gpu fans running and all, what does it show ? the same cpu debug light is on.

haha sorry i mean with cpu too, somehow i feel it's from your ram, you have spare ram or you may borrow it from your friend. just for testing

i have RAM that i can use from another computer to check. but what about the processor??? u think its normal for it have 2 golden plates erode like that? please tell

actually not, btw have you checked the contact area just blacken or the copper layer is gone? you may have bad contact pin on the socket

oh crap, yes thats probably the issue

I am *not* an expert at soldering. I can barely even solder the simplest things, so i'm not the right person to get advice to fix that.

I have fixed solder pads before (not copper ones!) by simply melting some new solder over the damaged pads and spreading it around, with the use of a heatgun. You might be able to find a way to fix those, if you're careful with it.

Uuuuummmmm back in the Core 2 Duo days we modded intel CPU pads using electrically conductive glues intended to repair those de-fogging strips in car windows, they might still work for this situation?
No guarantees, warranty, etc with this. Do so at your own risk.

This is an image of how it works (cover the areas you dont want painted, paint, dry, hope)
You'd want a really thin line of it, enough that the pin contacts the pad. Worst case is that when dry, it cracks and falls off (and you'd need to blow out the socket with some compressed air to be sure nothing fell into it)

Hmmm, not repairing it will help. Something caused this to happen. Plus there have been issues with shutting off during boot, with this, or the old MB? If it happened with the old MB it may have done the damage to the CPU. The new board will not show evidence of the problem. If you bought this computer pre built, I would return it and show them the CPU, and explain what happened with the old board. Or, have the 'mechanic' that helped you, help you try to RMA it through the MB maker, since their board is probably the cause of this damage.

Just my thoughts, Good Luck!

Do you have another CPU to try? Maybe get a Cheap CPU from CEX just to try it?

yaaa, the processor is under warranty, should i simply send it back to them? what should i explain in the email? that the processor pads are damaged????

yesss youre right, during boot, the pc used to turn on and off repeatedly, the MB is the old one i had sent it to get repaired under warranty. thanks for best wishes and replying

i have another cpu in the newer computer that i can try with, but im dead scared to even touch that cpu now. i think i should just claim the warranty right?

That's why i said get a shitty CPU from CEX, just to test the setup with.

"problem computers monitor is vga monitor"

it wont work. You cant use VGA on modern displays, you've said you used HDMI, but now VGA?
You can use an old monitor with a new-ish graphics card with the right converter (not the same as adapter!) as long as it's not ancient, well, you could as long as you have a DAC and some knowledge but I doubt OP has an IBM 5151 as a display anyway.

As for the pads... I really doubt the warranty would want to take care of that, they'll most likely blame it as an user fault or problem with the motherboard. The mobo manufacturer won't replace a CPU as it's not their thing and say sorry have a nice day, it's bureaucracy hell.
