I really hope the 3000 refresh in late June or July 7th come with this free game, I am seriously considering one of those chips and skipping 4800x which was my original planned path for upgrading.

This is the first time a free game has enticed me. I had planned on getting a 3300x soon but now spending that extra for the 3600 doesn't seem like a bad idea.

Clearly this is a bribe to help clear old stock before the new.

but a damn good one. and lets face it, if you game at 1440p or 4k, cpu as long as it is recently new, really isn't a huge deal. better to go balls to the wall on buying the biggest gpu you can afford

This. I have a 3600 that does not need replacing, but working from home all the time my cost of living has halved. I can see a 16-thread Ryzen CPU being extremely relevant for the entirety of the PS5 and XBSX product cycle.

I wasn't going to bother, but I would pay $60 for Horizon Zero Dawn when it launches, so I consider this an effective $60 discount on the 3800XT if that launches with this offer.

You're joking but I'm seriously considering sticking whatever AMD or Nvidia have at around 700$ this autumn in pair with 3600. Shit just looks too good at 4K, lol, it's been a revelation to me after I bought a new screen.

I have 4K60 in the living room and it's glorious, but I have 1440p144 on the desktop and that's unquestionably gloriouser.

Just my opinion, mind, but I feel that art assets in most games are kind of optimised for 1080p still. Yes they look better at 4K but they also look better at 1440p and the framerate is doubled compared to 4K.

I'll be grabbing whatever is the fastest at some point to replace my 2080 ti..... I don't care what it cost 12-1500 usd most likely

This game has been out so long already. It seemed cool back when I saw it on PS4 but it's pretty old now so should basically be a free game in my opinion anyways.

I'd wait for early 4000 benchmarks before buying. The current generation will be available after the 4000 launch, it gives you more alternatives.

This will be with all the DLCs. I'm not even seeing that on the grey market for less than $20 and the PC version should come with useful stuff like mouse support and 144Hz VRR.

not to mention PC version will be far superior, 21:9 support, high refresh support, enhanced graphics settings, and so on. such things DO CHANGE the gameplay experience for the better. so yeah this is honestly a fantastic deal

the ps4 version with all dlcs is on cdkeys almost all the time for 3-5 bucks. That’s what I bought it for as well back in the winter. Just not worth overpaying for it really.

No thanks. I'd rather support the devs and purchase from a legitimate storefront and not a grey market reseller. Plus this is on PC, and like lynx said, it'll most likely be the superior version.

Just curious, how do you get PC version already? This PC version of game not made available before August on Steam.

You don't. It's a promo for an upcoming launch of HZD PC version.

Maybe you're right and I should reconsider. I lose interest in things quick sometimes.

Well if you're going to use those sources then you might as well just pirate it. There's practically no difference to buying a grey-market $3 key that was (as is often the case, and why keys get pulled or invalidated) something that was purchased fraudulently with stolen credit card details.

well my next monitor will be 21:9 high refresh. (its not for everyone), but I genuinely find it very immersive and it makes games more enjoyable for me. ^^ to each their own
