I have to agree. The marketing jargon being used in articles like the above as of late is little more than irritating jibber-jabber..

I wouldn't read too much into it (literally). It's just typical marketing puffery and has been around forever.

At $139 US for a 1000W unit makes it one of the less expensive models. Certainly cheaper than any EVGA, Corsair, Seasonic, or Cooler Master model. I'm curious how it will hold up to serious reviews. Historically, FSP made great units though I have no idea how they've been doing over the last 5-10 years.

Aside from the awesome marketing they have, I have an FSP power supply still running for 8 years now with no hiccups. Most servers I see use FSP power supply back then and their consumer PSU were cheaper than other brands so I went with them.

Seems like another platform that they may have supplied to Be Quiet! before.

It slices, it dices, it re-grows hair, it brings your dog back from the dead, gives you longer more satisfying sex life, increases the value of your home and in certain cases may cause cancer...consult your physician if a rash appears and don't use FSP power supplies if you are allergic to them.

I mean it might decrease your insurance premiums compared to other brands if you catch my drift...

I didn't know FSP sold their own PSUs to consumers, much better than a no-name rebrand from a generic PC vendor like most companies do.

similar to Seasonic, they are are both an OEM for other brands and their own brand. FSP has better brand recognition in Europe than in North America

This is the original press release page.

I have no experiences with FSP products, there is no active sales network in Greece.
Hydro = additional coatings against humidity at industrial environments.
FSP using this as marketing trumpet so to impress gamers.
They do something very wrong speaking of product promotion strategy = they did succeed to confuse consumers.

The new.... the old ... this is not a wise way to separate a new product revision from the old.
INTEL 2.50 ? why not 2.52 or 2.53? They did minor changes to the old, and this is it.

Hydro PTM pro this is their fresh 2020 release as 80 Plus platinum (ATX 2.52), and this has 10 Years warranty.
FSP group needs help about their products correct naming.

They offer better cables quality than Corsair.
They do not skip to add the useful semi-passive (DC fan) external switch.
