Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Gets New Trailer and PC System Requirements

The upcoming release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is quickly approaching its November 10 PC launch date on Battle.net and Steam. In partnership with Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty PC lead developer Beenox has ensured players have over 500 customization options at their fingertips, with 4K graphics and Ultrawide support, and a massive array of options across all manner of settings. We're also excited to share some of the highlights coming to the PC version of the game.

Get the Ultimate PC Modern Warfare III Experience with Performance Multiplying DLSS 3
DLSS 3 is a breakthrough in AI-powered graphics that boosts performance while maintaining great image quality and responsiveness. Building upon DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS 3 adds Frame Generation for GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs to create additional high quality frames and integrates NVIDIA Reflex low-latency technology for optimal responsiveness. When you play with other GeForce RTX GPUs, you can activate DLSS Super Resolution to accelerate your frame rates and enhance your Modern Warfare III experience. There are a couple of additional graphical presets for PC players to look for, and check out, as you adjust the visual quality that's right for you.

NVIDIA Reflex - Best PC Responsiveness
NVIDIA Reflex revolutionizes low-latency gaming, giving Modern Warfare III PC gamers the ultimate experience with incredible responsiveness. Pinpoint accuracy and timing are key to overcoming Modern Warfare III's most intense gunfights and missions; NVIDIA Reflex reduces system latency, making gameplay smooth and more responsive, delivering the reaction time needed to compete at the highest levels.

PC Preloading - Campaign Early Access and Official Launch
Players who pre-purchase Modern Warfare III digitally on PC can preload the game ready at launch. Preloading will also be available for Campaign Early Access.

Preloading for Campaign Early Access on PC begins on November 1 at 9AM PT, with Early Access going live on November 2 at 10AM PT. A direct sequel, Modern Warfare III picks up right after the events of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Play up to a full week before launch and experience Captain Price and Task Force 141 facing off against the ultimate threat, Vladimir Makarov.

Preloading for the game's official launch, including Multiplayer and Zombies, begins on November 8 at 9AM PT, with the full title going live on November 10 at 9PM PT.

Imagine only getting 69 FPS with IQ that looks like this.

Now im not sure what manufacturer he is using. but I would have a hard time looking through any of my optics if they looked like this.

agreed and that is for me such a nostalgic thing to judge a game's graphics on, used to do that all the time, same with water and moving parts on vehicles.

But, but, but… it’s got frame Gen and DLSS, how dare you point out anything else.

Probably one of the worst games they could put frame generation. Not only you increase your latency but also generated frames dont include any new information for you so they are essentially useless competitively. At least system requirements are pretty low.

Looks right in place on the original xbox one. How does this only hit 69 FPS (not nice).

So I've could have kept my i7 6700K.... If I knew that before my platform upgrade I've could have saved me some serious cash...:banghead:

My 2070 Super should be fine.

I walked the COD line last year and got stabbed to death. I have Forza so I'll be driving away from this brand-new turd.

Oh my oh my... 64GB of System RAM for Hi Rez 4K Assets? Well...I guess its almost time to throw my whole damn system out the window.

Edit: I was briefed it should be disk space and not System RAM.

I'm genuinely curious to see how this will work in practice.. Altho I won't be doing 4k :v

Exactly what I was thinking. Anything that adds latency and esp. 'fake visual data' is antithetical to multiplayer twitch shooters. Maybe, they've got a decent SP campaign planned out?

Wait wait no no no, something is not right here.

Where is the forced use of DLSS and frame generation or FSR to just hit 30 fps with a rtx 4090 at 480P ultra low quality with resolution scale at its lowest?

Dont tell me this is a game that is actually desently optimized at launch. That can be right. There must be something wrong like crashes, bugs, lag and poorly optimization. Games does not simply break the norm...

More seriously, it would be nice for once with a game that actually runs like its supposed to be from launch. Cause i am so dam tired of game releases in beta versions....

The last 2-3 COD games you could run on a potato so that is the alternative to devs pushing the envelope. Game looks fine for a MP shooter and it is not hard to hit 120+fps even at 4k. Beta performed fine already as it is.

Actually pretty surprised that it has pretty modest requirements. Though the amount of storage modern games need is insane.

Is anyone even using DLSS in performance mode?

I don't believe that is RAM. Pretty sure that is suppose to be disk storage that's used when you turn on asset streaming in the options, same as in MW2.

Reviewing the slide again, that actually makes sense.

Nope, you lose way too much definition. Even balanced is iffy depending on the game.

The game's press release specifically points out DLSS support. I wonder how much Nvidia paid for that.
