Colorful Launches CVN X870 Ark Frozen Socket AM5 Motherboard

Colorful Technology Company Limited, a leading brand in gaming PC components, gaming laptops, and Hi-fi audio products, is thrilled to announce the CVN X870 ARK FROZEN motherboard for the AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors - COLORFUL's first AMD X870 motherboard. The CVN X870 ARK FROZEN adopts the CVN's signature military-inspired aesthetics.

The CVN X870 ARK FROZEN's design is inspired by aircraft carriers. The motherboard features large frost gray heatsinks and a titanium gray-colored PCB - COLORFUL's first AM5 motherboard to feature the color. Its bright orange accents evoke power and sophistication. The M.2 heatsinks sport lines similar to the runway of the aircraft carrier.
Built for Performance
The motherboard features a 14+2+1 power phase design, unleashing peak-level performance of the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor. It comes equipped with esports-grade 5G + Wi-Fi 7 networking, supports ultra-low latency 6400 MHz C28 memory, and introduces a new X3D Game Mode in the updated BIOS—delivering configuration that helps demanding gamers stay one step ahead and secure victory.

CVN Pullout Switch
The CVN X870 ARK FROZEN motherboard features a rear latch design that provides easy removal of the graphics card and prevents damage to the PCB. It also extends the one-click unlock mechanism, providing a better and more user-friendly installation experience for builders.

ChomiqChina only?
Considering that, even if it never shows up at any retailer near you, Colorful has an official store with worldwide shipping - their products aren’t China only and haven’t been for a while. Looking at their site, they have certified dealers in SEA countries, LATAM and some European ones. Nothing in NA and, uh, doubt that’s going to change soon now. But they are a solid brand, not Tier 1 mainstream like the usual suspects, but they make decent stuff.

I like the color scheme. Anything is better than straight black or red accented motherboards. What is odd, however, is the layout of the networking: no RJ45 slot?

Alright I looked up the motherboard through the English version of the COLORFUL site (the link above doesn't work, you need en.colorful.cn) and there is the RJ45 port at 5 gigabit. The 5G nomenclature is very confusing as that is associated with mobile wireless standards. Really needs to be stated as 5 gig or 10 gig networking.

Where is that store? I see nothing on their website and their Aliexpress store page doesn't have anything past X570.

Interesting. It does show up for me on the Ali store. Regional difference maybe? It can fluctuate with different stores, Fiio straight up doesn’t sell anything through Ali to my region anymore since getting an official local distribution company, for example.

This is pretty much empty:
colorfulpc.aliexpress.com/store/5882442?spm=a2g0o.store_pc_allItems_or_groupList.pcShopHead_1234056520.0

And I still don't consider Ali an actual store.
