Cooler Master's gaming hardware brand CM Storm announced the Sirius S 5.1-channel gaming headset, a variant of the Sirius, which dates back to June 2011. While the original Sirius ships with a 5.1-channel USB sound card, and is priced around 120€, the new Sirius S maintains the headset's every component, except the USB sound card is tossed out for a simpler volume control pod, and 3.5 mm jacks (three lines-out and one mic-in), so you could take advantage of your own sound card. It's also likely that since sound cards with non-standard DSPs are highly prone to driver-related issues, and need constant maintenance from the manufacturers' side, Cooler Master is finding a smarter way out. The Sirius S is expected to be significantly cheaper than the original, when it reaches stores some time in February.

It is priced around $60, and could present an alternative to more expensive mechanical compact keyboards.

Some of our reliable sources passed on teaser pictures of CM Storm's upcoming case for LAN party-animals, the Scout II. The new case will retain the core design principle of portability, including the distinct handles that let you carry the case around. The new Scout II will pack features that make its innards "transport-ready" (more shock-resistant). Its handles will be reinforced with steel beams that are probably connected to the case' main frame.

The CM Storm Scout II will be an ATX mid-tower case, supporting extra-long graphics cards, including NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690 and AMD Radeon HD 7990 (if it ever comes to be). Much like the original, it will feature windowed side-panels to let your show off your gear. The teaser pictures reveal the case to be heavily ventilated, with large cutouts for water-cooling plumbing. The case will be officially launched towards end of September.

The Sonuz is an analog stereo headset that takes input from conventional 3.5 mm jacks. The cushioned around-the-ear headphones (inner diameter of 97 mm) are backed by φ 53 mm drivers, with 45 Ω impedance, 10-20,000 Hz frequency response, 98 dB ± 3 dB SNR, and 200 mW maximum output (RMS).

The microphone, on the other hand, is suspended on a hinged arm. It has a frequency range of 100-10,000 Hz; -47 dB ± 3 dB (@ 10 kHz) sensitivity, 58 dB SNR, and an omni-directional pickup.
