Corsair Launches New RS MAX Series Fans

Corsair today announced the launch of its first 30 mm-thick PC cooling fans, the RS MAX Series. By combining extremely durable Liquid Crystal Polymer material with a larger fan blade bolstered by AirGuide technology, Corsair's expert engineers have created its best performing fan with zero compromises. The RS MAX Series connects with a simple 4-pin PWM header, enabling precise adjustment over fan speeds without the need for a separate controller.

With a 20% increase in thickness over standard fans, the RS MAX Series can spin at a lower speed to generate the same airflow as its thinner counterparts - translating into lower overall fan noise. For enthusiasts who push their systems to the limit, the high static pressure created by the RS MAX's larger fan blade helps power airflow through obstructions and dense radiators, making it an ideal choice for high-performance liquid cooling setups.
Corsair Magnetic Dome bearings - an evolution of the acclaimed magnetic levitation bearing - significantly reduce friction for both enhanced longevity and quieter operation. For PC builders looking to boost performance without boosting noise, the RS MAX Series will help push your system to the max.

Availability and Pricing
The Corsair RS MAX Series is available now in 120 mm and 140 mm sizes from the Corsair webstore and the Corsair worldwide network of authorized retailers and distributors.

The RS MAX Series is backed by a five-year warranty, alongside the Corsair worldwide customer service and technical support network.

no Antec has had some for a long time now. I am not sure if Phanteks does or not, but I think they do.

I doubt making the fans a bit thicker would address the basic shortcomings of Corsair's choice of fan blade design. The regular RX fans aren't really impressive.

I wonder if Noctua is going to jump on the 30mm wagon too, I mean the difference is quite noticeable, especially for radiator/CPU fans.
Not everyone has 140mm compatibility, however many do have that extra 5 mm

^^THIS^^....

I don't give a sh*t how much air they move at any rpm's or how thick they are, $47/fan is outrageous IMHO, especially in a 3 pk, which should be $100 max :(

Hello Corsair, you have now officially lost your friggin minds, hopefully the e-tailers who sell them will be able to knock that down a bit shortly after the launch hype subsides....

30mm is nice and an improvement over 25mm, but let's go big and back to 38mm thick fans. Maybe even 50mm!

Not sure if any corsair fans were ever considered "good" on any fan testing I've seen.

Regardless of their proficiency, I am indifferent. Are you kidding? I'm not gonna drop that much cash on a stupid case fan.

At 50mm the ammount of builds that would have enough clearance to install that kind of fan would decrease very sharply. I'm not saying there isn't a place in the market for such monstrosity but I'd expect to pay a fairly high premium for such a low volume product.

The same happens for 38mm to a much lesser degree, 25mm became standard for being a good compromise between performance and clearance.

$105CAD so probably landed in Australia $130. This is Noctua levels of BS pricing. Keep dreaming clownair.

And then we have the folks like me still picking cases than can accommodate thick rads with push/pull fan setups. :)
