AMD earlier today launched the Radeon AI Pro R9700, a graphics card that covers a wide range of professional-visualization and AI inferencing workloads. This is a maxed out "Navi 48" RDNA 4 silicon with 32 GB of memory, enterprise validation, and board design that favors builds with up to four such cards for a 128 GB memory pool taking advantage of the PCI-Express Gen 5 host interface. Unlike NVIDIA, and much like Intel, AMD made this product board partner-driven, letting them come up with custom designs. Gigabyte's card is nicely slotted in the company's AI TOP ecosystem.

The card comes with a 2-slot lateral airflow cooling solution that makes it easy for workstation builders to install up to four of these next to each other on a server/workstation motherboard. The lateral blower takes in air from both sides of the card, and the obverse side is a little recessed to minimize obstruction to the neighboring card. Also adding convenience to workstation builders is the card's 300 W-rated 16-pin 12V-2x6 power connector that's located at the tail end of the card. Also in the Gigabyte booth is the X870E AORUS Master X3D Ice.

Arctic at Computex 2025: Fanless Mini PCs, Freezer 8, Xtender VG Case, New Server Cooling

Arctic introduced some of its most important products at Computex 2025. The company is broadening its portfolio of server cooling products with the introduction of new all-in-one liquid CPU coolers for servers. It partnered with ASRock Rack to set up example servers that implement its new AIOs. Each cooler is specific to a CPU socket type, and designed keeping in mind the various hot-spots in today's chiplet-based processors. Slender 2U thru 4U-sized radiators and high-performance fans are used to dissipate heat from the CPU, as shown in the example build below. The company even has solutions for 8U GPU and AI compute servers, although we've not seen specifics on the GPU types it supports at the moment. With Moore's Law buckling, server cooling is a market hard to miss for a company like Arctic.

Next up is the Arctic Senza, a fanless mini PC barebone that's designed to be located under your PC desk. The mini PC features a centrally-located motherboard seating an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G "Cezanne" processor, flanked with two large heatsinks to which heat from the SoC is transferred by heat pipes. Arctic showed us a blow-out of how the cooling solution looks underneath. The 5700G may be an outdated processor, but you can see where Arctic is going with this concept, especially with the wealth of H-segment mobile processors and MoD (mobile on desktop) platforms to choose from.

Realtek to Bring Affordable 10 Gbps Ethernet to the Masses Later This Year

It's been two years since Realtek showed off its 5 Gbps Ethernet chips at Computex and at the time, they hinted at a 10 Gbps chip. This year, the company was showing off a wide range of 10 Gbps Ethernet chips on the show, ranging from a standard consumer solution, to server chips and native USB variants. The base chip is the RTL8127, which offers the full range of speeds from 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps, with a sub 2 Watt power consumption. This is followed by the RTL8127AP intended for servers, as it has full remote management support via DASH 1.2 support. Both chips sport a PCIe 4.0 x1 host interface, which for better or worse limits compatibility to more modern systems.

Next up is the fibre only RTL8127ATF, although it doesn't support 10/100 Mbps speeds, but it has a lower power consumption at just over 1 Watt. This is followed by the RTL8127AT, which is limited to the same speeds as the fibre only SKU, but it's a standard copper NIC. What sets these two SKUs apart from the previous two, is that they support PCIe Gen 3 x2 or PCIe Gen 4 x1 and they actually have a physical PCIe x2 interface, which limits compatibility with some motherboards as an add-card. Finally we have the RTL8159, which is Realtek's USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 10 Gbps chip, which again covers the full range of speed from 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps. Realtek had several mockups of customer products on display, but final products might not look exactly like the ones shown.

Wizmax at Computex 2025: PSU with Flexible Receptacle, Aurora Cases, Calux TKL Keyboards

Wizmax at the 2025 Computex brought a slick new lineup of PSUs, cases, and gaming peripherals. The product that caught our eye was the Wizmax Swing, a modern ATX 3.1 + PCIe Gen 5.1 modular PSU with an AC receptacle that can swing 90 degrees, to orient itself sideways. This should help with cable management in certain SFF case types. While the AC receptacle takes up one corner of the PSU, its diagonally-opposite corner has a 12V2x6 output that rotates 90 degrees in the same way. This should offer great peace of mind for those worried about giving their 16-pin power connectors too tight of a bend as part of their cable management scheme. The PSU meets 80 Plus Gold switching efficiency, and uses a fluid dynamic bearing fan to keep cool. The Wizmax Swing comes in wattage outputs of up to 1200 W.

Wizmax also showed off its selection of cases, we've seen some of these at CES earlier this year. These include the Woofer Deeptone, and Moon, but what's new is the Aurora line of microATX tower cases. The case has its PSU bay located at the top, and motherboard tray below, with an 80 mm fan handling ventilation. The Aurora series comes in many color variants, including Dalgona. Lastly, the company showed off its Calux TKL line of compact wireless keyboards. Notice that the lid of the keyboard is cushioned, and doubles up as a palm rest when using it.

The card is a beefed up variant of the desktop Radeon RX 9070 XT, and maxes out the 4 nm "Navi 48" silicon, enabling all 64 compute units, for a total of 128 AI accelerators. It also gets 32 GB of 20 Gbps GDDR6 memory across the chip's 256-bit wide memory interface for 640 GB/s of memory bandwidth. The card is rated for a total board power of 300 W. At its given specs, AMD claims up to 96 TFLOPs of FP16 throughput, and up to 1,531 AI TOPS (INT4 sparse).

The 32 GB of memory should come in handy for larger AI models, AMD claims, as it illustrates its performance against an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 with its 16 GB of memory—this could also hint at the target pricing of this card. The card supports driver-level scalability for up to 4 such GPUs, for a memory pool of 128 GB, leveraging the interface level features offered by PCIe Gen 5. The 128 GB memory pool should prove sufficient for Mistral Large Instruct (123 billion parameters with GPTQ4), and DeepSeek R1 Distill (Llama 70 billion parameters, FP8), both of which have memory footprints ranging between 112 GB to 116 GB. Much like the Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 "Shimada Peak" workstation processors being announced today, the AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 should be available in July 2025.
