Ducky Leads the Way for Silent Mechanical Keyboards with Cushion 98 and Shush Switches

Ducky Channel at Computex 2025 showed us their most silent mechanical keyboard and keyswitch. There is a growing trend among keyboard and keyswitch manufacturers to make their keyboards quieter and more comfortable to use without compromising on their tactile properties, and we see these as the general theme with Ducky. The new Cushion 98 is, as its name suggests, a compact 98-keyset keyboard. It offers a cushioned design for dampened typing. The keyboard implements Ducky's in-house Shush series switches that offer low actuation noise without coming in the way of other tactile properties. It's also designed for easy keycap replacement, as well as replacement of the cushioning layers. The electronics of this keyboard support 2 kHz USB polling rate, and both wireless modes—Bluetooth (for convenience and security), and RF (for lower latency while being wireless).
