i think this game is dead on arival, they havnt fixed some of the msfs 2020 issues till this date relating to VR and crashing and stuttering, wont waste my money on another same game without much changes.

To be fair the game is so big that issues are inevitable... the world map is 2 PB (Petabytes) on Microsoft servers lol. I heard that the 2020 with the latest updates worked pretty decently though but 2024 is having issues still.

Yeah I'm going to wait for some 2024 discounts because as of now it's too expensive. Also the Aviator version is $200 that's a hard pass. And I don't like the Xbox Game Pass on PC, it adds some encrypted files to your drive and I hate it!
800h of downloading? What do you mean?

How big is the game when you download it?
Also what you can do on Steam, is keep a copy of your games files on an External SSD, then format your SSD (OS) and after reinstalling everything, copy the game back to your steam folder and if there are some updates Steam will add or replace the files by the new ones :)
Or even better get a 2nd SSD and install all your games on it lol
