Sorry, but I want it to built into tables, furniture so it's invisible. This way I throw my phone anywhere on the table knowing it's getting charged.

Part of the reason that Apple abandoned their wireless charger is that it's not possible to do fast charging with this many components without creating too much heat.

This is likely the limit of what's safe or legally tested

I saw this like 2 weeks ago somewhere else, and the reviews were NOT that great, at least for the 3-in-1 anyways......price too high for what you get also :(

As someone who uses wireless charging tech... why is this so outdated?

It doesnt support the modern standards of almost any phone except apple and only works at slow speeds, and its pricey as all f*ck...

Wireless charging. For me its straight up there with the most useless tech developments of the century. Pointless waste of time in every possible way. Connect a cable, its not hard and no your life didn't get better for not having to... it just can't. Its basically a new problem looking for solutions - heat, degradation, efficiency, etc etc.

In a similar way... wireless earbuds that get lost 10x more easily and limit listening time, and die 10x faster because batteries go old. *sigh* We call this progress..?

We wonder why the climate's going to shit. This is why; its no longer about practical use or advantage, its about planned obscolesence and the endless search for new differentiating features just to sell a handset. Add software update and/or non replacable battery = $$$$!

It is just because charging always the device to the max. Lithium doesn't like it. For phones it is already is boosted to 4.4V, resulting in less charging cycles albeit more capacity. Imagine the log plot. Earlier manufacturers went to 4.2V only for example. Some example plot.

There are apps, even in build service like Sony does that leaves a margin. Charging only to certain voltage/percentage in order to boost cycle amount.

For idiocity like wireless buds etc... Yes I treat those things like that. There is no real option, no space for bigger battery. It is tortured at maximum rate.
